It's seems like a lot of people give too many hypothetical situations of "if I use this.. what can I get/expect." So I'm gonna switch it up a little bit. Check this out.

This is my VERY OWN first-time Grow. (I've been around grows many times, but this one is mine)

I have 12 feminized seeds

I want to use this ebb&grow system: http://www.htgsupply.com/viewproduct.asp?productID=53051

Thinking about the 30 or 36 pot system w/ 1000 watt HPS's (how many)

I want 3 - 4 pounds every time I flower my clones (dried) on a 8 week flower time.

If this was your grow what MAJOR SUGGESTIONS would you have, from floor plan, to plants per light, to distance from each pot, Co2, ect.

That sounds like a hell of a grow for your first time out. google 10000watt grow for some inspiration it can give you an idea of plants per light and design even though its not a ebb and flow. Good luck but I think you might want a grow or 2 under your belt before this undertaking. to get your nutes right also getting your clones to root proper and such but good luck

3 1ks should do. 9 plants under one.

I would suggest a reality check. 30 plants would fit, not well, in a 5x6 area, with no room to walk around in. After about 7 months or so, you might walk away with 3 lbs. Then youd have to wait another 7 months for the next batch to be ready, unless you had 30 more clones ready to go, and several mothers to get the clones from.

If you want real hard core advice. Build boxes that house 4 plants each for LST. Put 300 actual watts worth of CFLs using clamp lights (attached to the top with hooks so you can raise and lower them) and bulb splitters. These boxes dont need to be any bigger than 2.5"x2"x3". Make sure you have a door on the side so you can access the plants, change out the planters, adjust the lights, and LST them. You could even stack them if built well enough.

It would requires 2 4'x8' sheets of plywood, 2 8' 2"x2" studs, and a few other supplies. The image provided **earlier design with light fixtures attached to a plank that would be lowered, as well as air being direclty vented out, rather than being pulled below and thru a carbon filter**encorporates a timer, surge protector, and those solar car fans that you put in your window.

I am looking to build one of these next summer, but im still going back and forth between CFLs and LEDs.

(maybe I misinterpreted... but) Who said I'm working w/ a 5x6 room?
Room for me is unlimited. I'm still in the process of making the "veg" and "flower" rooms
and I'm set on HPS for flowering, Fluorescents for vegging/cloning
