I want couch lock buds

Am I wrong to assume that if I let my trichomes go 75% to 85% Amber that I would get that stupid couch lock high that I'm looking for? I understand that I would be losing THC content but my question is will it get me that super-heavy high if I let all the trichomes go Amber?
 
I've done that with strains that I found were a little light on the high and it definitely has a more sleepy affect but for proper couch lock you want 90-100% indica.
