I want to be your apprentice! or How to start in the cannabis industry

I know how massively impractical this site is with regard to doing things with each other in the non-virtual world, but i thought i'd start a thread about the blossoming (no pun intended) demand for cannabis industry workers. I'm sure i'm not the only one on here interested in taking my growing from immensely enjoyable hobby to immensely enjoyable career. Hence the thread: a place for those of us who want to discuss how we can take the plunge and start our lives as professional cannabis industry workers.
Personally, i'm most interested in starting or becoming part of a totally integrated operation (of course, the way the laws are structured kind of influences such an interest heavily) from seed through harvest and processing (concentrate making, cooking) on to breeding and beyond. But, this thread is for any venture, (e.g, "i want to start a cannabis kitchen," "I want to do the marketing for a dispensary," "I want to shoot professional bud porn,")

So, whats the best way in to this kind of venture, RIU? How can I get to be someone's growing apprentice? Sub's prospect, you lurking around here anywhere, got any advice for us?

if this should be in the black briefcase, would a mod let me know please?
be easy,
Dr.J

purchase tent, lights, carbon filter, fan etc. Acquire some good seeds or clones. Grow cannabis until complete. Take dried cannabis and sell it to a wholesaler. What more do y0u want?

I wanted to start a conversation about the cannabis industry and how one might get in at the ground floor...it could easily be a planning thread as much as a 'how i did it' thread and beyond these. Now, if what you're saying is true, wouldn't it be true of any hobby? just do it until you're good enough to do it professionally? it would seem more goes into starting a career than just trying to learn the skills pertinent to it. For example, even if your smartass comment were to be taken seriously, there are all kinds of particulars that can be explored: where does one meet a wholesaler? what can I expect in terms of negotiating with said wholesaler? What kinds of regulatory structures will I need to navigate if I'm going to be selling directly to a wholesaler for recreational purposes (CO)? This wholesaler seems to have a sweet deal, how does one become a wholesaler?
See d, there are things that can be discussed by those interested, if you didn't want to be part of the conversation, why'd you read the thread and respond?
be easy,

With a little sleuthing you can find that it's an all cash business. Banks won't touch the regulated cannabis businesses. People are driving tens of thousands of dollars in cash to pay their taxes. A great way to get in on the ground floor is to be a good trimmer right? If you just want access to a large operation right. Bud tender?

Ever acquire large amounts of cannabis before? Or known someone who may have access to large amounts? Grow a few cycles or your first, and take it to that guy to get rid of. He may want a front to see how it goes. Plan on smoking a bit with him. Don't ask prying questions.

Do you want to rent a house, building, wharehouse, convert a room?

Good Luck on your endeavors.
