I want to learn more about Cannabis and seed breeding. What should I study in college

start w botony 101. everything else will fall into place. don't focus on one plant. focus on all of them. it will give you a more well rounded picture. then you can specialize later.

dude if you only knew. no one will ever take me seriously on the hort side at all. if you dont have years in college with a b.s . no one will want to hire. its almost impossible. taking care of the management of someones crops and tree farms and managing forests to the degree of replanting on a mass scale of 100,000 along with increasing crop sizes of 1/10th an acre can get 6,000 lbs of food without damage is a huge feat. stricly speaking that you like growing and horticulture why not grow your own food even a small space can be used to do it. theres one bill yoou dont have to pay for.

That's the thing I don't want to be hired as a horticulturalist so I'm not going to pay big bucks for a piece of paper that says I understand something. All I want to do expand my knowledge on the subjects to apply to the things I enjoy

it comes down to being able to provide for yourself. it makes it much easier to get a job doing something you love with a piece of paper that says i know something. thats how people get stuck working at mcdonalds. its a very big pain in the ass to make an actual salary and be taken serioulsy without going to college for something. house car vacation self sastainable is more important than working at min wage all the time

There are many people living fulfilling careers whether it be at seedbanks or coffee shops or any dispensary. The industry is opening up, not simply just in the US but also Canada. I am passionate about the plant as many of us are, once upon a time alcohol was illegal but that didn't stop them, clearly. Should we let it stop us now? No, of course not. So therefor it is not stupid, it is simply preparation for change. And if not change right away then I will be arming myself with knowledge to rightfully defend the plant. Either you don't feel the same way or you do.

I signed up for college today, I will be studying Liberal Arts with a concentration on science. After two years I will ideally be transferring to Colorado State University to study Horticulture Science. I feel pretty confident that after all is said and done I will be more than qualified to grow major dank. In the meantime I will be purchasing some plant seeds from gurneys.com (recommended by silasraven) and also wal-mart to allow myself to see the difference between the genetics. This will also give me a chance to start growing and get into the swing of things. I am super amped and I look forward to my state living by its motto, "Live Free or Die".
