I wish i could get raided while i was growing my legal weed.

i would prosecute them to the fullest exent of the law, trust me theyd do the same right back, dont let up

if you feel an injustice, speak to your local gov. raise a stink.

Contact NORML, they might even give you a pro bono (free) lawyer if theres a chance that your case will set an important precedent.

First of all I would roll a big Phatty knowing that I was lucky to be in the great state of California and not going in the first crusier to the po po. Secondly pulling plants is way cheaper than dealing with a criminal case . Thirdly I hope I had something left to clone from . My best friend just got home from a 9 month sentance for growing 6 plants in his house,He was a model citizen with big community ties and this was his first offense .All for growing a happy lil weed in his house . Wheres the justice !

I would have let them arrest me, and then laughed in their stupid faces when the charges were dismissed.

I had to pull all 30 and i didn't have a card i was growing for 2 medical users. We had a collective agreement which the police didn't care for, or for what i had to say to protect my rights because they where saying that I didn't provide housing care, food and giving them rides to their appointments, so therefore they said i was growing illegally and could have gotten a felony.

I woulda told them to suck my left nut unless they had a warrant to come on my property in the first place. Second, if they had the warrant, I would tell them that I wouldnt pull my plants out until i had a lawyer to explain the pc to me. If they make you damage your plants unjustly you can sue the town for damage of personal property, labor and making unlawful threats(arresting you for felony if you dont kill ur plants). I wish i was in your shoes. See if u can get Legal Aid (free lawyer) and set the precedent.

This tuesday we will go see a lawyer in my area and also submit a complaint report against the county for my local police and submit a tort claim for our property. Any more suggestions that will help me out?

I didn't lose mine but the OP did.
There is no limit but there is a minimal guideline.
I believe it's best to stay under 100 though.

This really spins my head for two reasons: (1) because the assholes made you rip up the plants; having to live there and you "feed them food" doesn't even make sense. (2) because in the state that I live in you can get thrown under the bus for one fucking seed. God I hate living here!! I am moving to northern Cali, hopefully, in a month or so. I have a grower friend that's wanting me to move to southern Oregon instead so I'm going to check it out too.

man... if cannabis lawyers say u got a good law suit on ur hands... why not... just demand enough settlement that it pays for ur lawyer/time missing work/etc...

My incident report just says property found for the description. It just doesn't make sense man.

It's good that you are going to seek the advice of an attorney that specializes in this area before you get too gung-ho about suing the cops. I'm sure there is a way to form a legit collective, and there may even be some guidance through SB420, or a local ordinance in your town. They are probably fairly specific.

If I understand correctly, you first indicated that it was 3 "patients" that were growing, yourself and 2 others. Then you subsequently indicated you don't have a medical card, but were growing for 2 other people, who weren't there at the time and don't live with you. And all you had were copies of their medical prescriptions. I'm no expert, but under those circumstances, asking the cops to just take your word for it probably isn't the way the law works. But, you do claim to know the laws so I could be wrong.

So, you had 30 plants and 2 patients. Were the plants mature or immature? How many plants can each patient in your city/county cultivate? Did the prescriptions list any amount (other than the default 6/12)?

In any event, I would still be nervous about cops showing up and definitely bummed about destroying 30 plants. By the way, what happened to the plants? You just said they told you to rip them out.
