IBS Medical Marijuan Users

I was wondering if anybody would know if my condition would qualify me for med card before trying to get one. A couple of months ago I was diagnosed with IBS and what not. The thing is that I'm not sure if my doctor's final conclusion, because I was supposed to go back and have a colonoscopy but the procedure is too expensive for me and my insurance so I never went. So my question is would I still qualify for an med card without completing my colonoscopy? Or do I have to get an colonoscopy in order to obtain my card? The thing is I don't want to take pills at all anymore, and marijuana has been useful for me in treating my condition. Thanks to anyone who can help me in quest for an answer

which state are you trying to get it in? I'm in california, and yes, I have my card for IBS, all you need is your records stating IBS

My son doesn't have insurance either, so it got so bad he went to emergency. That was over a year ago, still having problems.
He went to get his permit with only his records from the hospital (right, over a year old) no diagnosis at all, just records of "severe" stomach pains and he got his. The doc and he talked about the fact that he already knew Marijuana helped him and she wrote him up. Kinda surprised me!

I went on line with the records dept. at the hospital, filled out their release and had the records faxed to Cascade. Saved some footwork!
