ideal temps in a cab

i built a cab 63 inches long, 33 inches wide and 20 inches deep. i put a 150w hps in there with a 4 inch duct booster for fresh air to come in, and a 4 inch inline fan to suck the heat out. my room is 74 degrees and my cab is 77 and humidity is 49% idk if its accurate or not but is that good? when they start flowering i will add the filter on. i just want to know if them temps are good or to high/low. thanks.

Thank you, what are the max temps i could have in there? i got a room air conditioner on and when i turn it off temps go to about 85-90 because i live in florida where its hot..

once you put your filter on temps are gonna spike

so i would put it on now to see what kind of temps you get

85-90 is danger zone 90+ is a nono growth stops and plants will get scorched

you want your temps at 75 if it goes 80-85ish thats ok but you dont want it to be constantly 85+ all the time

i cant put filter on now because i dont got nothing to hang it up with yet. i need to get some tab tape from home depot idk another way to hang it.

doesn't have to be hung up or properly mounted its just a test run for a few hours to a day, unless you have absolutely no space to put it without hanging it

i dont got room for it. i got 2 5 gallon buckets with 2 plants each in them with a 7 inch box fan on a 1 gallon bucket to cool it down a little im working on a clip fan. so it needs to be hung up because its huge. i got the one from gotham hydroponics on ebay for 120 for a 4 inch

EDIT- i got the floralux mini 150w hps. i can buy the 4 inch cooling flange as well if it would be better, i dont know. but could i hook the filter, and the light up to the inline fan with a splitter and still see cooler/better temps?

When you say temp "in there" what does that mean? What is the temp under the light at the level of the highest plant top? That's what you need to go by and 80 or over isn't good. Growth will stop at 85, and more serious consequences at 90+

What the temp is in some other part of the cab is irrelevant, and it can vary a lot in six inches.

If you run a y splitter to your filter and your light the air will be sucked thru the device with the least resistance which would be the light and your carbon filter wont work. You need to run from filter to light then out to fan. Thats if your light has 2 flanges like a cool tube.

i dont know what the temps are at my plants.. the light is 5 inches above the tops.. should i raise it? the hand test passed when it was lower but i seen droopy leaves so i raised it.

The hand test is wack. Measure it at that level and act accordingly.
