ideas for an affordable TOOL-LESS frame to mount lights on?

i'm not a fan of tents because it's hard to work around them if you're doing a SCROG, and i want reflective material to be at the edge of the 3x3 screens for maximum reflectivity. like i said before too, i don't trust them. when i looked at one, it looked flimsy and like a pain to set up for one person with arthritis issue.
press fit PVC seems like a better alternative, though it would also present problems trying to incorporate a SCROG screen in any design as eel as get expensive with 2 3x3 frames with so much cutting needed too.
getting ANY kind of saw isn't an option! those are insanely loud! i'm trying to keep a low profile with potentially nosy neighbors here. that's why i don't even want to have to buy a drill, but at least those aren't too noisy, especially if i can use the old "i'm making a book shelf" excuse. this is the catch 22. i could build it all from scratch, no problem, but i don't want neighbors complaining about noise and drawing landlord curiosity. if only there was some place where you could go rent tools and shop time i'd be set. i could pre-fab everything away from the apartment and just bolt it together there.
i'm getting ready to sketch a mock up of what i'll probably do as i've been refining my design in my head and by mulling over a quick sketch i made. once i post that, everyone will get a better idea of what i'm trying to do. i've also simplified the design a little as well as added some structural integrity by incorporating the SCROG screens directly into the frames instead of dropping them in. then. the screens will add structural integrity to the base sections of the frames with just the tops bolting on like stables attached at the feet. in refining the design too, i found it easier to just standardize the side braces so that EVERYTHING is 3 feet long and then just make 3 squares with the 1st two being the base and scrog screen and the other being the light frame and mounting the side pillars outside everything. in my original wonky design, i would have needed different sizes for the top and bottom which is only asking for trouble when i can just get planks cut to the same line using the first one as a template for marking all the other cuts. i've found that home depot workers really fuck cuts up and often don't even do them square or even. maybe i'll pay someone to precision cut everything even so i know that it's all square.

sonofa bitch! the forum just ate the edit i was trying to add!
the pic isn't proprtioned right as it was scanned at 200x400 as that was about the lowest resolution i could get it scanned, but i'll get another one at 300x300 so that it looks close to what my design will be like if i get it built. you should at least get the idea of where i'm going with the design. the center section would be the SCROG screen and bolted to the lower frame with the top section shaped like a table and bolting on to that. i wish i could have gotten pre-cut and drilled wood to just spec sizes and bolt it all together, but it looks like at the very least, drilling can't be avoided unless i want to wreck my wrists and possibly split the wood screwing everything togethjer without pilot holes
the reasons i like this design are"
- the sheer simplicity of it and low cost using crap grade planks
- that it would be very sturdy
- it would be easy to assemble as well as break down if needed or even disguise the lower sections as end tables with everything else hidden in my closet
- there would only need to be 3 sizes of planks... 13 @ 3' for all of the sides and the ligth rail (possibly 2 even), and 8 each of about 2.5 feet for the base pillars and 3-4 feet for the top section pillars
- the units would only take up as much space as the grow unlike any kind of side towers and i don't know how small my room will be yet
- the open sides would allow easy access from any direction if mounted in the room center or at least give a minimal 1.5 foot needed reach from 2 sides as i found reaching into my first sea of green room to be back breaking
- the unit would allow me to make trapezoid shaped reflectors inside that rest flush to the edges of the SCROG area and nearly touch the hoods for maximum reflectivity as well as create a nearly air tight seal that i could use to draw cool air up from under the sreen and out through the fan/scrubber on top for maximum convection
- the section in the ottom would be water tight if i dropped plastic in and let it go over the rail edges, though water leaks didn't prove a problem when i used pots in my 1st attempt to SCROG where my plants all got burned

Why does anyone bother waisting their time to give any help to hazey as he only calls people that give him advise that works trolls.

The use of PVC pipeing to make a tent ad escaped me, brilliant idea, fuck knows how though..

Asks for something simplistic tool-less, draws plans for something with over 100 holes and the need of multiple tools. All while disregarding the perfectly logical advice of the PVC which is about the only way you can get tool less.

if you read the original post, TROLL you'd see that i've been looking for pre-fab wood, and right away showed my disinterest for PVC asshole! i didn't attack whoever for sharing their experience with it and have learned that it CAN be sturdier than i thought, but again... it's fucking hard to make a SCROG screen out of PVC ya feckin' idiot! you gotta drill the shit out of it which could get sloppy and even dangerous when it's much easier to just screw tiny open ended hooks into wood, but hey, thanks for showing what a fecking moron YOU ARE when i clearly stated what i was looking for from the beginning. i already dismissed PVC. i'm not just lookig to make light stands. i want an integrated space saving unit, AND, as i mentioned to ya fidiot, taking PVC apart would aggravate my arthritis, but you seem to be reading comprehension challenged!

Im guessing thats the real reason no tools are involved, "My landlord will inspect me if I make noise"
PVC will last longer that cheap wood that will eventualy rot from all the moisture, Unless you wrap it with viynl or something.
I do hope someone takes the siad advise in this thread as PVC pipes look an awsome way to make a tent.

If you only glue the sub assemblies a shelf might break down to 8-12 parts in a few minutes.

And I have personally made several tents from 1"schedule 40 pvc...My little veg box is 2'x3'x6', sturdy, and I never use pvc glue. Been doing it for years. I've used the same pvc to build 3 stands for 2'x3' flood trays, no glue, and solid even when flooded.
Thats a perfect system, exactly what I described, sub assemblies and a few odd parts makes any variety of shape for a light hanger, SCROG frame, fans, etc.

Do you have a decent drill/driver? A decent cordless will run you 150 bucks or so but such a versatile tool. Get HD to cut the boards for you and make sure they are pine. Pine is soft and you can drive drywall type screws (coarse thread) without splitting if you are careful (skilled). Then you could just unscrew it to take it down.

There's a company called EZ Frame that sells plastic corner connectors that are sized for 2x2 standard lumber. They have little holes for a screw to hold them in place. All you would need to do is to cut 2x2s to correct length and drive in some wood screws. You could double up for cross pieces that need extra strength. I'm making my new diy grow tent using these. Cost is roughly $1.75 per connector.
They mostly sell shed package kits, but they will sell individual pieces too. It's a small company and he sells on ebay too.
