Ideas on setting up 12 by 13 foot grow room?

Thanks for reading,

I'm looking to setup a moderately sized room. Would like to setup a perpetually harvesting system.

I would appreciate some ideas on how to setup areas for cloning, vegging, and flowering... As well as how large you would make each of those areas.

Definitely will be using grow tents, already have a 5x10 tent.

Thanks for input.

Are you trying to do all these things in the one room? Or is the 12x13 for flower ? 12x13 is a nice size 4 light room

Tents are waste of money in my opinion. Always built my own walls with those mylar foam sheets. Build them however you want. I recommend, if you have the tools, building all grow rooms into a pyramid structure. Best material is to outline in copper sheets. It's been proven to bring an energy up from the earth that makes plants extremely healthy.also ... how many plants do you have in mind ? That will determine how to divide them up to have continuous cycles. Fairly simple just divide your room with whatever surface your using then start your cycles and timers. Try to correlate best you can with the light outside matching the indoors that way the energy put out by the moon at night will have a positive effect. Genetics in every plant know the natural earth n moon cycles.

Hey Patrick,

That is the full dimension of the room I have to work with for both vegging and flower. I'm just trying to decide how many sections to split it into.

Obviously the flowering section will require the most space, but I'm not sure how much room I should leave for vegging and possibly cloning.

About the number of plants- I want to keep the count as small as possible and veg plants big. For example, I originally thought I'd only grow in the 10x5 tent I have. I expected 8 or 10 plants to fill the tent in either 15-20 gal soil pots or 5-10 gal DWC buckets.

Now I'm wondering though if I should even use tents, or just put up mylar and makeshift walls for different grow areas.

I'd like to hear your thoughts if you see this. Thanks

Blackberry,

I meant most of my reply to both you and Patrick.

I have a few more questions I'd like to ask though.

If you had this space, how many lights would you install? Maybe four 1000 watt HIDs?

I'm sounding all over the place but I think for the first grow in this area I'd like to make one harvest and worry about making it perpetual later.

Now I just have to consider lights, safely powering the room, ventilation, and what medium I should use for a room of few yet big sized plants. Any tips here?

I suggest putting up a wall and not growing in tents . Or having a tent in the room that you use for veg . This is all personal preference though. 4 1k lamps is what I would use if you were flowering the entire room. If your only flowering half I would lean closer to 2 k watts. I suggest using coco or a dirt medium. I wouldn't suggest doing a perpetual because you have to run a different feed and do the steps of the grow more
Often. I always have preferred batches, but this is also personal preference
