ideas

depends on your room?

in mine i use motor cycle tie downs attatched to eye bolts on the ceiling of my box with nut on the out side so it wont pull through like a screw would cause its half inch plywood

and in my clone room i use chain since it dosent get moved to much, with the same eye bolts on top

Get some cheap blinds and remove the blinds keep the string system that raises and lowers the blind. attach light to strings securely. Operate like a window blind.

k k ya im using floros in my closet with like organizing shelves and its a bitch to raise em

If you're using "shoplight" fixtures, just hang two lightweight chains down, about 4' apart. Use "S" hooks to move the fixtures up and down. You can buy everything you need at any hardware store for a few dollars.

if you are creative enough you can use pulleys and coated wire. I have been thinking of how to use them in my grow, but have yet to discover a easy method. I want to do it so i can adjust many lights from one spot, all branched out to lights.....? Maybe, i'm high!!!LOL

The idea I posted is what many conventional light raising systems are basically. Always keeps the light level and raises with one string. Maybe not the cheapest but the coolest for sure!

Wow, i was just in lowes yesterday looking at these blinds to take apart and use to raise lights, also to make a somewhat door for my open faced grow cabinet.
This would work very well, thank you for clarifying !!!!
