if all goes well with a crop is it always better to top the plant for 4 colas

Let's just say that the crop got everything it needed on an indoor grow and flurished.. 2 plants the same strain 1 topped 1 not, would the topped plant have a lot more buds and a bigger yield?? Ano noob question but iv not topped a plant yet

the way i see it is the topping provides opportunity for further growth.

growth is achieved by trading off resources such as nutrients, light & air flow.

if you can supply all these resources to support this possible growth, then yield WILL increase.

I've read that a well nourished, a topped plant can achieve 1.5x yield against an untopped plant.

i am still learning from the good people on here though, and I would look to get confirmation of this.

i have just today used the FIM technique on my 6 Jack Herer today so I will keep you updated.

I would top pal u get more light to the lower buds! U from the uk? Had a look at your other thread on blue cheese

Ye prob not far from you mate haha!!! U do get idiots on here when ur looking for help pal my advice just read up before posting a thread i made the same mistake 9 times out of 10 ive found what ive been looking for without starting a thread

Me to pal im in the last week of a scrog with cheese and the street stinks haha

its all testing to find out. nobody should tell you it will produce more because some strains produce less if topped than others and even in the phenos of the same strain there will be differences. side by side and tell us if it makes a difference.

Look into fimming, same thig as topping just less stressful on the plant.. U can fim every branch.. and maximize your yeild by alot..

haha small world init and its jus a pain in the ass going through threads I'm on my blackberry and it crashes a lot

Different strains take well to topping some don't. Last winter Purple kush grow. Plant on right wasn't topped and produced a third less then topped plants. Only took them a week to recover after topping.
