ok so i just started the flowering stage yesterday the 14th ... i just fed them for the first time today.. and for some reason ive been tempted to put my 3 ladies outside for a couple hours a day. will this hurt my plants? moving them from environment to environment...i live in socal and its starting to get hot as hell... iv been vegging them for 1 1/2 months now and its all been indoors under 400 watt hps light... the only reason i get tempted is my closet doesnt always get the best ventilation and the best airflow, can i do this without causing a lot of stress on my babies... thanks plus rep for good answers!!!

You could, sunlight is sunlight but if your room is set up with lights properly there should be no reason to do it. If your in a area where you are 100% SURE NO ONE will see the plants it would be ok. If you really feel the need just open up your closet doors a couple times a day run a fan into it with the doors open. Once the thc starts forming on the leaves moving it might knock off minimal crystals but after a couple weeks it might make a big difference. Good Luck.

Even though ur room is set up w "lights properly", nothing beats the sun ;) And i wouldnt think the outside enviroment w sunshine is worse than the closet, on the contrary, hence it would do them good to come outside?! I don't know but it makes sence...

You are right about the part bout people seeing what ur "growing" so be carefull. Great advise ThatGuy113.

LOL...I dont think it matters moving them "knocking off crystals" ;) If that was a problem all my buds woulda been "crystal free" cuz of the fan on max + I move them to the tub for watering twice a week??? :wall:

If you do this you are opening yourself up to pests. I guess keep a close eye on them - IMHO the direct sunlight is better for them than anything you can plug into the wall.

i figured it wont hurt.. and i also assumed being outside it would attract pest just like you said GreatwhiteNorth... i will only leave them out for like 2-3 hours keep an eye on them... i just think that sometimes my closet doesnt get enough fresh air even tho im ventalating it as good as i can... plus rep for all you guys... any one else has any opinions that would be great im going to take pics in like a week...

My closet feels stuffy at times too...I leave the door open for most of the day and i have i big box fan blowing air into the closet during light hours..I wish i could vent better but at this time i cant

yah, i too wish i could move my plants to the great outdoors for a few hours a day.. the only thing i thought i would mention as i didn't see anyone else say it.. i have always read that if your moving plants outdoors from in, you should harden them off for a few days first.. this just means not taking them out and putting them into full sunlight straight away, but rather do it gradually by putting them in a half shady space first.. i'm not sure how true it is or if it is really needed, i just know that i have read it a lot of times and thoght i would throw it out there..

Ive never heard that good info

I was vegging with some 4ft fluros 24/0 and read to gradually change the light cycle to 12/12 but i went from 2 4ft fluros tubes 24/0 to 12/12 400w hps and they had no problem with the transition...

I've never put my plants in the shade and have had no probs. bugs and high wind are no good though
That's the good thing bout beeing able to move them ;) If it's bad weather they are grown inside and before putting them back into grow room you can allways put them in the tub and look them over for bugs. And yeah, just put them out in the sun, they are plants huh not seedling? Expect to water more and be ready w more nutrients and be ready to top or lst so that they still fit in your grow room cuz my guess they're gonna love it and isn't this way really the best, low electric bills and nverer "bad weather" for the plants...?! :bigjoint:

Might need water usually they drop down like that when they dont have enough water. they should perk up in a bout an hour after you give them water if thats the case.

I think thats a great idea,if you have the privacy and the sunlight why not ,the plants may love it,wish I could do that but no chance in sunny Scotland,my closet grow is the same need to keep door open for at least some of the 12 hours for ventilation, going to rig a fan up shortly.

The sun and air will do them real good!!! But u have 3 downfalls. 1 u could get a bug, pest or a desiese. It could kill them or when u bring them into ur grow room u can spread it which could potentialy destroy what ever else is in it or gets grown in it if not disenfected proper. 2, if there's a male in the area which is quite posable, it could pollenate ur weed. Pollen can travel mad far man.and 3, sum1 mite see it and steal it. Otherwise the sun will only make them better
