Usually what I do for my 10+ gallons of soil is I add bat guano every week or so and water every day and it works great. When using nutrients or supplements (I use Super Thrive from time to time, Mag-Cal every week or so, Silica boost every week, Hygrozyme every week, guano every week, and my nutrients which I'm temping General Hydroponics Flora Series. Usually I would use Bcuz or Fox Farm series.) Then I just water normal every day from 2-5 gallons a day. I water 2x a day on hot days.
Just for the record, this post made me RUN for my plants and I found them wilting. So thanks very much! We've been having some very hot weather after a lot of cloudy weather, and I got behind in the water. Coupla gallons each and they're perky again.

Good to know I'm doing my job and keeping all the mj alive that I possibly can! :D
View attachment 1050284 not even in this pic its the top of the bud theres only a few like it if it is nothing to worry about then you have help and i will stop worrying it just lokks like its dying to me.
Any kind of stress of the plant will cause that. If it's not getting adequate lighting then it will cause that look also. If you don't have a big enough light to flower her under it will cause wilting and dying of lower buds (saying this is a lower bud) I would recommend keeping a very close eye on it and keeping me informed. Wish I was able to see it in person, then I would be able to properly diagnose this one myself but as it is I'm unsure and kinda on the fence for a cause.

Hey man I almost lost my grow because my soil ph dropped to 5.
To correct it I used lime. This grow I'll be using lime mixed in the soil early like when I transplant.
But seedling don't like it.
Do you do anything to regulate your soil ph?

Not typically but I do flush my soil anytime I place a new plant in it so the plant has a better chance to adapt. If you allow for a nice wet starting condition I can almost promise success in transplanting and growing.

I've got a question about seedlings. I recently sprouted a few seeds from my last run, currently only working on the first set for true leaves. For some odd reason the seedlings underside of the single blade leaves are a bright purple. It started with the veins and then suddenly engulfed nearly the entire underside. It didn't start to happen until I took it from its 23w cfl and put it under the 65 watters. Could the color change be due to the major increse in lights so early? I've seen purple/redish veins due to purple/redish stems, but never just the veins of the leaf.

My question is about outdoor i saw somewhere that instead of having a large pot say 50 litres they had some kind of plastic ring in the ground which folded for transport... Any idea what they are called or where to get them?? Probably easy to make with a plastic drum and some kind of hinge clip,, but would like to see the real mccoy..
Cheers

I do believe what you're experiencing is the colors of the plant coming out early but it will all turn green again. If they start to wilt then I would recommend feeding a very small dose of Super Thrive. How's the current grow going?

Is there a source for this? I've personally never heard of it but please if anyone else has post here.

Things are going good so far. I have 2 plants that I am currently experimenting with, trying a combo of LST, topping, and defoliation. Things are working out pretty well so far, one plant is taking to things a bit better than the other, but that is to be expected when using two different pheno's. Also, I have three seeds from my last run sprouting. One of those three is the one that is giving me the purple problem. Other than that things are running pretty smooth. Finally made that adjustment with my shelving, now all three shelves are mobile, and i finally have one big adjustable box rather than two not so adjustable boxes lol.

Hi I posted this about a week ago and hadn't gotten a response....I saw your recent post that you were having some internet issues and might have missed some posts. Any advice would be a great help. Thanks

Hello,

I'm a noob and I've gone with an autoflower strain called la diva. I'm using happy frog soil, no nutes, and a 4 bulb t5 light. I started using 4 "grow" bulbs and then switched over to "bloom" bulbs once they began flowering. I'm about 6 weeks in and I've noticed that some of the leaves have brown spots and are beginning to curl upwards. I'm trying to find out what I can do before it gets any worse. Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks

I am a complete noob and have been reading for a few weeks straight now. the first major question i have is after i start the seeds in paper towel do they go straight into my hydroton nft setup? or is there a step in between? can I start adding nutes right away as well or do i wait a few days then add nutes?

I'm very excite to get to it!!

Cheers

Doesn't look like any particular nutrient problem will put small spots on the bottom leaves. When I see spots like that, I almost always find mites underneath. The only other thing I can think of is just a pH problem, but I'm sure you thought of all this stuff. Maybe it's just the beginning of normal bottom leaf yellowing late in flowering?

hi, ive been reading here and i think someone could help me. ok, this is it. i have 2 nirvana auto blue mystic plants. they are advertised as 100% female. im not much for certainty. about 3 weeks in, they both showed sex. 1 seems to be all fem, the other showed male sacks first but now i can see white hairs also.(herm?) but like i said they are advertized as 100% fem, but the 1 plant showed male first. what does this mean? is it male or female. i would like to make the most out of the situation, so im intersted in producing seed. can someone explain my options and what the the offspring would be like if i let the herm pollinate itself and or if i let the herm pollinate the fem.
