how would i keep the trim nice and fresh for a few weeks until my buds r done drying/partially curing? i want to use the small buds on the bottom of the plant for the hash, but shouldnt i wait until theyre dried/cured so theyll have good trichs? or do i just throw them in with the trim right after harvest?

how does this usually work?

Plastic garbage bag. Just make sure you burp it once a day. *edit* Oh wait, I meant freeze it. yeah...*edit*
I prefer a dry trim to make all the kinds of hash. I have heard of people using wet plant material before, not sure if it makes much difference.

Dry out your trim & small buds completely then put in a bag in the freezer for at least 24 hours (assuming you are making bubblehash with ice bags?)

When making bubble hash it does not matter if the trim is wet or dry. Ice Water extraction is simply hardening the trichomes in icy water so they break off of the plant cleanly. When it comes to bubble hash it is all about the agitation, not the dryness of the material.

My boss uses bubble bags. He never waits for it to dry or freeze, and gets mad amounts of hash. He just makes sure to use shit tons of ice. To each their own though.

C'mon think about it dude.. if it's dry it breaks up easier.. if it's still wet it won't work as well.. but yeah, each to their own

Okay.. I have made hash from wet & dry trim & can say that the quality & amount from dry trim & buds was better than the wet trim

ya i got my own set of bubble bags i will say you get a less from the wet trim but my 120 bag was more pure so i do my trim wet then i make canna butter or green dragon with it to get any THC im missing out on. Im in it for the best taste not the most yeild but most people dont even taste the difference between there 90 and 40 so i spose it is to each there own

I found that with dry trim, it disintegrated a lot easier in the bucket, and as such i was left with a good amount of crap to filter out of the mix. Didn't find it made any difference to quality, just took me longer to obtain the same quality product.

When making any type of hash? Yes, I prefer to use dry as I said before. BUT...
emot-eng101.gif When making bubble, or gumby hash it does not matter. The ice hardens the trichomes so they break off of the plant matter cleanly. It is not whether or not your trim is dry. It is all about agitation after the ice water has been added. This method has been proven to remove more trichomes than most of the other methods. BUT...

I prefer to make my hash a different way;)...and that's OK!

do u think if i threw my trim into jars, and burped them once a day(more?), they would take a lil longer to dry? that would give me time to dry and possibly cure my small buds. i think if i dried the trim and buds at the same time, the trim would get dry faster, right?
