If the November bill gets passed, what does that mean for us growers?

sure it will take heat off of med growers, the cops will be on recreational users instead. easier targets.
sooooo true i'll keep my card, vote no, and watch how many people get arrested in the first 6 months of this bill.

yes, sadly i think it will pass. there are just to many stupid sheep willing to jump on the first weed bill with a bid ad budget to tell them it's this or die.

btw three props i know of getting sigs this year and the worst one got the most press, because club owners paid people to get sigs. you think they would shell out millions if this didn't mostly help them not us? the bottom line of this prop is the clubs bottom line furthering the cause is not why this is being voted on, if the wanted to further the cause the would have funded the jack herer canabis/hemp initiative. and i laugh so hard when i see so many people so happy to be fucked over. sure its better than nothing, but its not like we have nothing now.

has anyone noticed most of the people that love this prop are under 25? and the people who see through it are over 25? makes me wonder if i was that gulible when i was younger or if todays kids are dumber

i wouldnt want this to pass if i was in cali...yea having it officially legal sounds good but now it means now every mom and pop can grow it and every street corner will sell it..u will see the end of pot shops b/c now the cirle k can have a little section next to the tobacoo to sell 420 cigs.. gas stations, walmarts, ect.... look up marbro green.. prices will go down trematicly..like 25 to 50 an oz.and you will have farms that grow the pot, just like corn and no one is going to make any money cuz these guys will control the industry.. look at corn today its like 300$ a ton..and at least that stuff you can eat...yea there will be still yr indoor grows but how could you compete with a farm that has a 200 acre field of grand dady purp? and you have just 2 lights and flood table... think about it...its pracialtly legal now..its just an unwriten rule and i would want it kept like that...to protect the industry from big business..

Not true. Businesses will need a license to sell cannabis. Cities/counties will get to decide where it can be sold but the dispensary model will remain. It will likely be sold @ dedicated dispensaries only since you'll need to be over 21 to enter a place that sells it.

Wait a second. You really think an Oz of weed could sell for 25$....Wow......

This is a perfect example of someone pretending to know about the bill without reading it. Nothing in this bill effects medical users. It doesn't take any rights away.

That depends entirely on who will be governor and AG. But basically you're against legalization in any form if you think this since this could be said about any legalization bill.

The cops will not do this without the consent of the AG.
so why don't we wait two years. We'll know who our AG is. cant drive the first car you see off the lot it may be a bucket.

Factoring in selfishness, many people will probably vote on their own best interests...how many people who grow are against the prop because they think they won't make as much money? How many people who are voting yes and don't have cards haven't read the prop and just want to smoke without fear?

We should pay attention to who is funding both sides of the debate over Prop 19 and be critical of them

If this ballot measure really made it easier for cops to get arrests then they'd support it. But the cops are on your side, against it.
Cops are also against medical marijuana laws thats why they are still raiding LEGAL grow operations and confiscating patients medicine during traffic stop and any other oppportunity they are given. Medical marijuana users are still being harassed by cops and its legal for us now. You think its gonna change when its recreational? F*ck it, lets just legalize all prescription medicine. Oxy's for all, cause its fun. Yahhhhh!

LOOK why would you ever be on this site and want it to fail... THIS COUNTRY needs to move forwards... if it can even be a little legal then we will eventually have HUGE company, growing pot just like that of tobacco. and the price will come down, the black market will be destroyed, and weed will get better... BECAUSE you wont have noob growers selling weed (unless it is super cheap)Because the CO2 filled rooms/1000w growers will get permits and grow SO MUCH FUCKING WEED people wont be able to sell it for that much. Look at tobacco and alcohol weed will follow there story's. We have to change the minds of everyone else in this country, and a lot of people are slow to get on board.
ALSO IF IT IS LEGAL COPS WONT BE ABLE TO GET SEARCH WARRANTS FOR IT AS EASILY ANYMORE. and fly overs will stop (we will gain our privacy back, or at least a very small part of what the government took.)

Yes yes, the Cannabis plant has a myriad of variety of uses. Henry Ford actually had invented a car in the late 1920's that ran off of Hemp oil as fuel but because other persons profits would have been destroyed, such as in the crude oil industry, prohibition was used to nip it in the bud.

I'm hoping that if Prop 19 passes, that California and then the whole US will take advantage of this extremely useful plant and start once again using it as a main fiber, paper, cloth, oil, medicine or the other hundreds of applications.

Marlboro greens? That's fake. The tobacco industry has done research into processing marijuana during the Jimmy Carter era. Brown & Williamson even had a module built for their rolling machines to make it possible. That obviously never went anywhere as Jimmy Carter didn't go anywhere, but he was our best shot at cannabis ever becoming a staple crop.

As I mentioned before the tobacco industry is done for here. It's an international market now not domestic. Look up British American Tobacco company, which owns Reynolds American aka RJR and Brown & Williamson. That whole merger was a disguise to move out of the country. Funny how the big company can buy the small company, but the small companies parent ends up the real owner. Can anyone explain that one?

Reynolds and Phillip Morris are slowly but surely moving their machinery and farms out of the county. Why not? It's cheaper to import cigarettes than process them domestically. Both have already bought up any small companies here with any significant market share, so you can forget the likes of Santa Fe or Lorillard moving in. These companies own the machines and the patents, the point is to make it go away. You think they're going to stop this decade old plan in the making just to save the state of California? One of the main states behind them having to leave in the first place......
