Anyone ever see a grow using the SK450 from Super Grow? They are Expensive with a capital E, $867 for 250w (a little cheaper for multiples). But they seem like quality units. They probably don't use super efficient leds, not by today's standards anyway. There are certainly other and probably better (price/output) options, but I still would like to see some pics of plants grown with them.

Hadn't seen those yet. [edit: gross, those are RB lights, and at $1000 for 150W!]

Yeah I figured they were kinda dated using those led chips. But the spectrum looks boss and I'd just really like to see some plants under them. But considering there are no videos or journals, that's probably a sign.

Well I'm not sure the efficiency of the leds is that drastically different. Maybe though. You said it makes 50% more PAR with only 125w (is that what it actually pulls? says 150w) but I didn't see any umol values for either one (unless you mean max PAR value under the light, which doesn't tell you much. Its the total PAR umol/s emmited that counts, not the PPFD at any given spot.) That would mean it would have to be 3 times as efficient if using half the power and getting 150% the light. That just doesn't sound right. Even old led tech was at 20% a few years ago. Only COBs are getting 40+%, I think, and that's only twice as efficient.

I can't find the data I was looking at the other day that's the basis of what I said.

I have 2 2x2 and it is rated for 100w and uses ~78w each 1124 par

for the 3x2 the total par advertised is 1180 which still at the draw if 125w effective it's impressive. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Osram-ZELION-3-x-2-LED-Grow-light-Made-by-Osram-First-Release-Will-Sell-Out-/251760891428?ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT

I only have found one guy online making pure oslon Osram SSL80 grow lights and I haven't looked for what he's rating them other than they have a similar diode count as the Zelion lights. His lights are very low power like the Zelion but from what I gather he's waiting on the test results to come back on his systems. Which they could easily not binned as high as what's in the Zelion lights.

I'm looking at LuminiGrow 450R1, pricy to me though it seems high quality, the rep told me it's 400watt from the wall.

Zelion 3 x 2 is actually 125watt but the coverage area and quality make it a no brainer if u have the $ and in the market for a mono. dlplampsource promo OSRAM is the best price$855
IP65 rated

30 inch by 30 inch. Looking at a Mars hydro 2 400w or a California light works solar flare 220 for vegging only. This lights won't be used for flowering. Any preference over the other? Or some other brand? Just need to cover 6.25sq ft 4-5 plants till there 12 inches before flowering.

The 2015 California light works models use Osram Oslon ssl 80 chips, the 2014 and older models don't.

The Mars hydros use the same chips as all the cheap Chinese LEDs you can find on eBay.

So I'm using a 4 bulb t5 right now and was looking to add some side light for flower is this light any good? Lvjing® High Power 50W Led Plant Grow Light Panel 1365 Led Red + Blue for Hydroponic Plants Flowers Vegetables Greenhouse Hydro Lighting AC 85-265V https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MXTWOIM/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_U9Y3vb77EY9KP
Absolutely NOT, paperweight in a short period. You can look at Osram's new par 38 bulb, not much wattage for the same $$$ but your getting quality chips + 730nm tailored for our flowering annuals, should help your situation and it's flexible with a socket cord.

good luck
