Hi I Need a quality ( cree?) efficient, low wattage, near silent Led light to fill a 4x4 tent to replace my 600 watt hps. Phillips bulb.

It needs the ability to pull a pound easily like my 600 watt does in my shallow flood and drain tray with a few weeks veg.

Heat is a major problem for me, i need the light to be low watt and efficient to reduce heat.

It needs to be able to ship to New Zealand.

Tent 1.2 metres x 1.2 metres x 2 metres. Flood and drain = hydroton. SOG.

Do not want to DIY, want to buy a pre made unit or 2.

Thought about
Bloom onyx - fan too noisy
Northern Grow Lights Proton 180
Pacific lighting concepts but doesn't ship to nz
Inda Gro - heat???
Apache tech - too expensive
Amare technologies
Area 51 led
Hans led ( cant under-stand there website? but fan less is attractive, I need near silent)

Budget $1000 max ....can run multiple cheaper lights within budget.

I think you will find budget to be the issue.
Are you air cooling your hps?

How bout one of these with the 120 reflector?

Yes Budget is a problem when converted to US from NZD it becomes a lot more pricey.

I have looked at Spectrumking before and its time to think about them again.

Soo many choices it becomes mind boggling.

I dont have a air cooled hood just a bulb in a simple bat wing reflector, I use air con, as I cant vent outside due to my situation, but it got extremely expensive last year using air con to negate the heat from the 600 watt hps.

Going to have to work out a stealth way to vent outside...

if you have dry wall ceilings and a large light on the ceiling, you can cut a hole in the space where the light was and have an air vent sucking out all the heat. worked for me with my 600watter

Its definitely been something ive considered before, just a normal light hole and not keen on enlarging it, but if i can reduce my heat first by led efficiency then vent out into this small light hole, the air con can do the rest.

infact i might take the light out and run a small alkathene pipe from the tent to the hole , heat rises so passive ventilation.

for that money (1000$) i would go with 4x180w HANS..one panek covers 80x100cm.. So you got all tent covered..

Thanks Ive been offered 2x Johnson Cx4 for around$800us for the 4x4 area so add that to the choices as well.

options are certainly overwhelming.

what are peoples thoughts on the Johnson Cx4.

I have had so many PMs with great ideas ... this is way out of my field of experience and a big money out lay for me.

so thank you all for the help and ideas.

Don't bother with the Hans panels IMO. They're only good for small grows. I have two 80w panels in my micro cab and the plants grow slow and don't yield much. You can't really even fit more than one plant under the 80w version. The plants smell weaker, have lower potency, less solid / less weight than HID.

Sometimes living in USA is very convenient. Those Johnsons really seem capable for your area and the offer seems nice. Being able to get things shipped to you does limit your options. I think I would be comfortable with them.

I have a question regarding Mars Hydro LED, would really appreciate some help deciding here.
I know there's probably better LED's on the market, but I've used their 300 in my old small grow and I really liked them.

I got a Homebox Evoloution 120x120x200 (47" x 47" x 79").

First I thought about buying a Mars Hydro II 1200, but then I saw that 2xMars 1-series 600 would be cheaper, and I guess would also mean better coverage?
But I'm wondering if the old series are somehow weaker than the new II series? What would you suggest me to use?

Not many users here would ever suggest Mars hydro. You'll have better performance with mh/hps.

But if you're stubborn and want to stick to a 20% efficient led then multiple lights always performed better than a single light of same wattage.

As for 1 or 2 series they're both over priced shit

You'll be much happier with the Johnson lights than Hans or shitstrum king

Any data supporting 3000k vs 3500 k as a better flower spectrum? I see some places boast 3500 as a better spectrum for flower vs 3000 and some places the opposite. Any input?

SDS started with Noctua and moved to Phanteks. He used Meanwell HLP series too...
I tested Nocta, Artic and generic 120mm fans. NF-F12 was the least loud fan and the minimal sound it makes it is very smooth. The case temps differences were within 1C for all fans. NF-F12 industrialPPC was too loud.
