Hey, guys,
Total nub to growing cannabis here, so please be gentle.
I'm moving to a place with a wonderfully perfect space for an indoor garden and have been wanting to do this for years, so I think it's time to hop in!
I have a huge space, but I want to start smaller (although it's still going to be quite large); I want to start with 100 sq ft, so 10'x10' more or less, although the dimensions can certainly be altered to some degree. I'll also be gardening in a tent. Yes, I know this will be lots of work, but I'm up for it!
I've been reading a TON about DIY LEDs, and I do eventually want to go that route. But in the mean time, I want to get prefabbed lights to get started. From what I've read here and elsewhere, it sounds like the big boys right now are Apache and Amare. I've been looking very seriously at the Amare 450s. My question is, if I were to pick up 5 or 6 of these guys, would that be enough coverage? I've seen plenty of folks with quite fantastic looking ladies using just one of these lights in a 4'x4' space, so it seems their claims about the footprint are right. But I've also seen plenty on here about basically wanting one COB (I've been looking at 3590s) per sq. ft. of garden. I plan on working my way up to that goal, but would 5 or 6 SolarECLIPSE 450s do the trick for the kind of square footage I'm looking at for now?
Thanks for any input!
