there is bro but you'll need to determine the current you will be using to drive the cob.Is there a formula for 1 cxb 3590 cob per square inch of heat sink run passivley.
Thanks a ton for the advice.Uh uh no way that will work. Optic is a good brand but youd need magical spectrum to properly light 16sqft with 250 w. Platinum led sells magic.
But i suggest you keep learning diy, save up and build something, bright and efficient and a good value.
I have an optic 360 i use it in a 4x2. Works great but i added on to brighten the edges.
Any LED recommendations for the following?
* capable of blooming and vegging
* under $400
* lowest heat generation possible (have heard COB technology is best for low heat)
* 5 sq ft area (36" x 20" inch tent)
* 1 light or multiple small light recommendations are welcome!
* no DIY please
leaning towards this only because of the high ratings it receives: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NTBS91Y/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_2
thank you
I wouldn't pay $50 for that light. The owner of that company is riding on Advanced LED's coattails, but selling an inferior look-a-like. I'm almost positive that those reviews are all fake. Companies do that all the time. They create second, third, fourth, etc accounts, buy their own product, and then leave a review.
I really wouldn't want an Advanced LED either, real or fake. Epistar LEDs just aren't appealing.
You can get 2 of the new A51s for about the same price and have more watts and more efficiency.

You could also look into a 200w Optic LED, it's a little bit more than you wanted to spend but not a lot more, it's about the same power as the A51 and the Platinum you were leaning towards. Optic and A51 both uses Vero COBs.

I'd recommend Pacific, but it's over $400, almost double, have a look anyways.

Do you like the Hans Panel?
Area 51 LED and the Vero 200 Watt are Great led with Great Value? Thx for the Tipp with the Amazon Fake Reviews!
I don't have an opinion on the Hans, never used one or know anyone that used one.
I think both Optic and Area 51 will ship to Europe. Area 51 had mentioned a store in Germany that carries their lights, maybe you can save on taxes if you ordered from there.
Yes, the warehouse is in colone Germany the customar Service say to me 3 weeks left than he have the New area 51 LED 199€ better than Order from the us with Tax. So when i go with 2 lights i have 190 Watts. Which Space is perfekt for both LED?
They say ca. 200€ maybe more ;( i hope not! Is this a Killer led Light that Beats HPS?It's crazy AREA51 w90 costs $174 in their website and when in Germany it costs 199 euros which is $221. Almost 50$ more.
Yes I know, custom tax will apply when you send it from the USA to Europe but still it sucks. I want the same price
