ok, im going to build my own. what do I need?? I want to produce 400 actual watts with 4x100 watt cxb3950's.

So 4 100 watt cxb3950's
and...........

(if someone can provide me the links to the most affordable options, that would be much appreciated...one day i'll return the favor :) )

If I split a 55"t x 9"d x 21"w chamber, what split would be the best?
50/50 would provide roughly 1.3 sq ft of space to each chamber I think.
Then, which led diode combination would be best for trying to achieve 50w/sqft, plan on running closer to 90-100w at 50% efficacy or so?
Multiple 10w or 20s or less 50s or a 100?
Still new to this so any guidance would be appreciated.

Are any of the other COB's worth a shot besides the CXB3950's? Now because I can't afford a CXB3950 driven light and or don't have the tools to make one myself, are their any other models (full spectrum) that are close?

Isn't it 1.3sq/ft split in two that you meant? (9x21!)..I would say 1.5sq/ft for the entire area!...but as I am not from US maybe I am wrong with my math...but when I convert it in cm I did not find the same numbers!
So if you go for cxb you will need 50w...no more...and cxa/b 2530 looks like your best option! (4 cxa 2530 32 $)

Sweet thank you. With those use 2 per chamber? 4 would be 80w at 33%? Idk for sure

Any advice on adding uv? Is it even worth it?
I found a reptisun led uvb fixture that has a 13 or 14w flouro for reptile uva/b and some leds for moonlight on the other side.
Figure just remove the stock ones and mount my own. Idk if it's worth the trouble though.

You need only 50/60w...so 4 x 12/15w cob will do the job...if you go with efficient cob!
And if you drive them low you will have efficiency and longevity (50000h and more...10year!)

The cxb 2530s I found were 65w max? So is it about 20w at 33%? How do I run those at 12/15w? Drive at 23% All the math is still new to me

I have seen the price of the vero 29 fall to under 25 dollars are the 3590 worth double the vero
You tell me

That's just 1 plant grown under CXB3590 3500k CD bin @50w each cob and here's the other 3 under 819watts that's getting trimmed tomorrow.

I want to get the best results possible. where is THE BEST tutorial for making a DIY ? I would like to have about 300-400 true watts of power for my 4x4 darkroom. %100 organic and the little ones are off to a slow start under the mars 300w (actual 140w). If there is a 300-400 watt COB light that is premade w/ full spectrum, under $300, please let me know!!!!! I apologize if i come across as uninformed, the LED's are relatively new to everyone and having a full time job/family make it difficult for me to put in the 100's of hours of prep time/knowledge acquisition. I've f***** up now twice with the lighting (mars 300 was the better one LOL). Lesson learned!!!!

It's time to get one that serves its purpose.
Seriously...your seedlings are growing slowly...and you suspect your grow light is to blame? Look into ERGS- Energy released per gram of soil. Don't blame your light if the real culprit for 'Slow" growth is your grow medium.

If anyone can give me some recommendations that would be fantastic. Im currently putting together my 2 x 32" Heatsink USA profiles 5.88" diameter to retrofit a bcnl bloombox which is roughly a 2x3 space. The bloombox currently uses a 400w HPS lamp and ballast and the results are great, however the heat and electricity cost these create are not ideal. Im almost 100% certain that I'll be using 6x35watt Cree CXB3590 210v setup @ 1050mA, unless i am better off looking at eight cobs instead of six in the same space, but i think six should be sufficient from my basic understanding. My main issue is picking the right colour temperature lighting. Has there been any more data collected in regards to results from 3500k vs 4000 or 4500k?

I just remixed it a day ago. On another note all my beans are popping except the Nirvana beans (90% duds) anyone else experience issues with their beans before?
