i have set up a few rooms this year, i learned fast that i prefer to build with environmental conditons at the forefront. ok since i know im going hydro, i need to make sure the water is under 72F, now do i feel comfortable cutting holes in the walls? i need an a/c in there, if soil maybe not, but i like air cooled hoods so theres 2 holes there, humidity control with another exhaust fan and odor control, then we figure the dimensions, then we see whats feasable, maybe bucket systems, maybe a tray, flood and drain? drip feed? these are things your gonna have to figure out for yourself, maybe watch grow like a pro vol.s 1 and 2 is a must!

i put my a/c's into sheetrock walls, cut holes right thru, the back of the a.c winds up in another room, you can use a carbon filter attatched to a fan to suck thru the filter and it will exhaust clean air, go to youtube and watch grow like a pro or search jorge cervantes

Yeah house hold A/C and humidifier will work just fine, use a ozone generator, or a carbon filter air scrubber for odor control.
For starters this is a valuable link.

As said you will need to control the environment and that is one of the most best things about growing inside. Second the cheapest hydro setup is called DWC. All you will need is a bucket of water/Nutes, air pumps, and air stones. A PH meter is a MUST for any hydro system, TDS is good ut not needed like a PH meter. You really need to do extensive reading, and luckily this is a great place to start. Read the FAQ's that I linked you and if you have any further questions AFTER you read then feel free to ask us we will be glad to help.
