Both versions of Cherry Pie are great.Too bad I can't put my hands on CP around here. Hell aren't most of you guys' big time popular strains clone only and much different than the seed version? Does anybody even offer CP in seed form that's anything close to what you grow? I know GB and I discussed this issue recently in his thread.
That's the one thing about CP, it's a late bloomer & late finisher......they were the last to show flowers & the last to finish......I wouldnt recommend anything that takes a long time to flower. Running them in to the potential cold months can be stressful
I had a Durban Poison that was going to be a pounder at least....had to cut that bitch early because of an upcoming freeze. Buds were huge but airy as fuck, I ended up waxing the whole plant. It would have been a beaut if she gone to term Live n learn, no more sativas doms outdoors next year. That's the one thing about CP, it's a late bloomer & late finisher......they were the last to show flowers & the last to finish......
I did blueberry x kryptonite that was amazing my first year. That's what made me fall in love.Kryptonite or GDP. Hmmmmm
If you get a seed outta that at all, gimme! If I could still get cuts of it I would probably run Granddaddy Mango for outdoor. It did pretty well indoor and I'd love to rock some of it OD. It had a low leaf to bud ratio which made it easy to trim. At harvest it was basically just big chunky nugs on the stems that I just had to clip off the chunks, was sooo easy to trim haha and it was pretty dang dense too. It wanted to stretch though and was growing tall so I super cropped it and broke it down a bit, would have loved to of ran it OD where it could just grow as tall as it wants and probably get even chunkier.
Next OD season I might run some land race sativa though. Maybe Malawi Gold or some Bhutanese Thimphu, Purple Nepales, Mulanje Gold. One of those but most likely Malawi Gold. If they start getting way too tall I'd hit them with some bush load to stop that vertical growth.
Here is a couple pics of the Granddaddy Mango indoor. It actually did smell of mango's, even while it was in veg, Or maybe Skittles but defiantly a sweet fruity smell.
And a shot showing a Crystal Haze with a nice cola and some GDP that was growing with the Granddaddy Mango at the same time.
I second this, for outdoors the blue dream does PERFECTafter all these years still blue dream great overall strain(yield, potency and hardiness)
hard to argue with BD...it would be my second choice...Blue Dream, Blue Dream or Blue Dream.
