If you didn't see it coming

I'm sorry ceph, that comment was more directed at Buddy.

This is the type of thing that is driving kind and courteous people away from this site. Nobody wants to see arguing and all the negativity involved with name calling. Ceph, you contributed alot of civil and fair material to this thread and I apologize for saying "you guys".

Buddy, If you can't contribute to a civilized debate without getting a bloody and painful anus hole, just move along to a thread that won't be so hard to control your fury in. NOTHING is accomplished by calling members terrible names and cursing like a sailor.

Again, Ceph, I apologize to you for categorizing you. It's just that I'm so tired of lurking a VERY interesting thread only to get half through it and see people start to let their egos get their mouths going.

Present your argument in a polite and respectful way or do not get involved in it at all.
I posted twice, my original and an explanation and you called it a pissing match.
On topic and you claimed it messed up a discussion you weren't even a part of.
You want to preach to me about proper posting etiquette while insulting me.
To justify your commentary you had to use a quote from another thread.
I used the word "shit" twice in one post and you call it "calling members terrible names and cussing like a sailor".
You are carrying on about the issues "you have" with this site/posters claiming others anger issues ?
You think so highly of yourself you beleive you are able to tell others how they should post and then go on to mention ego's getting mouths going ?

Now, I should light you up.
Anyone of the above issue's more then justifies such a response. Sure I could do a long drawn out reply and try and hide my insults behinds a high and mighty stance like you did, or I could simply cut to the chase as I usually do and save myself all the typing.

But I won't.

A little naive to believe because they're doing this with GW and cracking down in Cali at the same time, that things are going in a good direction. Don't you think?
I'm with you, fuck some validation. prove it's not healthy, prove it's dangerous prove to me that there is any reason at all for regulation of this plant. You can't. and you're MY gov. and you don't protect me. you are greedy assbags wth your best financial interest in mind not my safety anyway so yeah-I don't think I have to prove shit. I dont' think it has to be proven medicine or anything at all other then the harmless plant that it is and y'all should back up off the damn plant regulation. I think you medical people are lazy quitting at the 10 yard line and begging for acceptance-F THAT! drop all that regulation that surrounds the cannabis plant that is when I'll be happy.

.....and as things proceed. Te government may reschedule Cannabis as soon as 2013......

http://www.allvoices.com/contributed-news/11358512-cannabis-based-drug-awaiting-fda-approval

Sativex already approved in Canada, New Zealand and eight European countries
Sativex manufactured by GWPharma, based in the United Kingdom, is now in advanced clinical trials for their mouth spray developed from raw marijuana instead of synthetic hoping now to market this pharmaceutical product in the United States for the treatment of cancer pain. The company is optimistic that they will see FDA approval by the end of 2013.
Sativex which is in a 100 microlitre spray contains two of marijuana components 2.7 milligrams of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinal known as THC and 2.5 milligrams of cannabidiol (CBD). It is approved for different usage including relieving muscle spasms for those with MS. Currently the following countries have approved Sativex, United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, New Zealand and Canada.
With the ongoing Marijuana debate across the nation the if the FDA grants approval it will represent a considerable milestone in the nation's usually apprehensive relations with marijuana.Sixteen states which include Michigan and the District of Columbia do allow patients to legally use marijuana with a physicians recommendation.
The United States DEA classifies marijuana as a dangerous drug that contains no medical value. However, a chemically alike prescription drug could add to the pressure already on the federal government to reconsider their position and excite other pharmaceutical companies to follow GWPharma steps.
Possession of marijuana is illegal in the United Kingdom. However, Dr. Geoffrey Guy who founded GWPharam in 1998 and is still remaining Chairman, had received permission to grow and develop a prescription drug around ten years ago. Dr. Guy had presented this idea at a scientific conference that heard informal evidence that marijuana does give relief to MS patients. This had left the British Government gladly receiving it as a possible way "to draw a clear line between recreational and medicinal use," this according to Mark Rogerson, Press and Public Relations for GWPharma.
Besides Sativex, the company is developing medications with different formulations of cannabis.
Last year two FDA drugs in which contain synthetic THC, Marinol and Cesamet to lessen the side effects of chemotherapy in cancer patients had their patent expire last year.
Physicians and patients with apprehension are hopeful regarding Sativex. The National Multiple Sclerosis Foundation does not support marijuana usage in MS patients. The foundation however, is sponsoring a study by the University of California in order to determine how smoking marijuana in comparison to Marinol works at addressing painful muscle spasms.
The common side effects of Sativex are fatigue and dizziness.
The U. S. Patent and Trademark Office had issued a notice of allowance for a patent which guards the use of Sativex as a treatment for cancer pain, providing and exclusivity period until April 2025.
“If there is a demand and need we could develop a drug that will help people and we will make a lot of money” stated by Dr. Aron H. Lichtman, PhD,professor of pharmacology and toxicology Virginia Commonwealth University and Elected President of the International Cannabinoid Research Society according to the Associated Press.
Among the medications there are alternatives in which help reduce the pain for those patients with cancer. A few notable ones include:
Chiropractic
Chiropractic care for those patients with cancer has been strongly supported by literature. Favorable responses have been noted with those having musculoskeletal complaints along with symptoms from chemotherapy, radiation and post-surgical trauma associated to connective tissues and joints. Chiropractic care also boosts the immune system, improves physical/emotional well-being and overall quality of life. Chiropractic care offers a broad range of treatment options
Naturopathic Medicine
The goal is to create a healthy environment inside and outside the body and is especially important for those with cancer. Naturopathic medicine is another alternative that takes a whole-person approach.
Naturopathic medicine for those undergoing cancer care treatment includes decreasing side effects of treatments, improving energy, well-being and overall quality of life along with boosting the immune system.
Hypnotherapy
Since 1958, hypnosis has been recognized by the American Medical Association. In a statement for the National Institutes of Health, 1995, it had been cited that there is strong evidence that hypnosis can decrease chronic pain associated to cancer. It has also been noted to improve the quality of life in some patients.

Once big pharma gets their grubby hands on this there will be politicians bought off left and right. As you eluded to earlier, there will be stepped up "enforcement" of medical marijuana.

Corporations are now "people", and can donate untold fortunes to political campaigns in this country. They have an unprecedented grip on politicians who are beholden to them for the campaign loot. As soon as marijuana can become a publicly traded commodity, it will change the game forever. Unfortunately for the small grower, that change will be for the worse.

Cannabis will soon be legal, but you and I will still get arrested for growing it.

It will be regulated just like alcohol and tobacco and only large corporations like pharmaceutical companies or tobacco companies will be allowed to grow it.

Private grows will be treated just like moonshiners are now.

Agreed 100%. If there's money to be made, big pharma will step in!

Big pharma already has shit loads of land in the best places to grow marijuana as soon as its legal they will be growing mass quanity probably shitty too.. even if they do tho they wont be selling it in bud form (atleast i doubt it) and if they do like i said it'll probably suck because there not going to take care of it like somebody that loves the plant... basically saying there will always be a demand for high quality herb and if you have it your gonna be able to get rid of it and for making it illegal for private home grows fuck it i was growing before it was legal anyways just dont do dumb things to attract attention from the 5-0

the other countries that sativex has been approved in all had and have a more national stance on medical use we have 16 states and a government with a patient on the same thing being approved which they classify as completly non medical.........so lets not argue about a shot in the dark attempt for FDA approval of sativex. also if u research the growing techniques of some of these big pharma over seas gardens you would know that although sterile and uniform there highly unproductive wasteful ignorance has not changed since there inception. its people with 300,000 dollar degrees without enough common sense to be able to grow medicine worth doing anything more than what we do with our trimm.
