You guys have the wrong take on this, it's like a build your dream discrete grow box, your only requirement be its maximum size is 48 sq ft. He doesn't want design ideas, he wants a game.
fdd is right just because its a stupid question don't lower yourself any way i built a cab out of 2x6 that i ripped into 3 pieces for frame 1x10 ripped into 4pieces for trim and louan for sheathing (it's like 5-7$ asheet ithas a 22x33x80flower room #2-22x12x24 rooms for veg and moms and a12x12x22 mechanical room (ballast pumps timers switchesetc.) i built the whole thing for about 100$ minus lights fans stained it maple and it looks like a high end cabinet https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/156412-newbie.html check it out
i'd take a sheet and a half of plywood... and make 3 shelves: each 2' by 8'. Then i'd put 12 four foot 2 bulb flourescent lights over those shelves. Then i'd start on the flower room.
NAW.... I'd take 1 1/2 sheets of plywood and make a bunch a fuggin birdhouses.... and then sell those so i could buy some real fuggin materials to work with
I gotta agree with you on the bird house idea. But then again that might be a little complicated for this genius with his plywood.

If I had 48 square feet of wood, I would build a giant ark to house all of the different varieties of cannabis, and then I would sail it over to my private island, and cram them into veg tents, and while they veg, I will install drip lines all over the island and plant clones in such a way that from Google Earth all the plants would resemble a picture of Homer Simpson.

How discreet does it have to be? Unless your dad is Ethan Allen, a sheet and a half of plywood made into a box is going to look like a sheet and a half of plywood made into a box.

My grow is pretty much the exact same thing. What I did was built the box against a wall so that you only need three sides and a top. Attach the top on hinges so that you can lift it up, almost like a chest. In your situation, this is one thing you can do next: if you drive around and find a garage sale or something pick up something with drawers, then use the fronts of the drawers to make your box look more like a dresser. After that, put it in an inconspicuous area in your house. Maybe put some boxes or something that is easy to move on top so that no one can accidentally notice that the top opens and youre done. Hope that helped.
