yes im 7 weeks into propetual grow. yes it turned out to be quite an investment,but its very simple and the pool is just my res. for lights and c0-2 gen. but i did throw a lil deck around the pool for the missus. she uses it! but yea, i tried the 55 gal. res no good, so i bought a 500 gal res,and even with a chiller i wasnt satisfied so i bought the pool and i wish i would have gotten it from the git-go. i wasted some serious bucks on trial and error........................

maybe : / . ive never heard of a pool being used for a res before .thats fucking brilliant. is that common? are you a pioneer or did someone tell you about the idea and you decided to do it? amaziiiing. im very fascinated by the water cooled equipment. im early in growing so i dont quite understand how it all works yet ... but eventually im sure thats where my stacks will take me. : )
 
Got a little over 2000 in mine.
400w cool tube 4x4x7 growlab120
Carbon filter and 4in inline fan 190cfm
Seperate from cooltube
High velocity fan from walmart
120quart 5 day cooler for DWC
4 60gal air pumps running 8 airstones
Milwaukee ph meter
Got my central a/c ducted in to help cool tent (gets around 100 here in the summer months house gets up to 85)
3.75in. Net pots, ducting, ect.
Got everything from walmart and ebay. No hydro store around here.
Bad news is got 6 white widow clones about 2 weeks in flower and found out mother in really a father. Gonna collect pollen for future breeding projects. Oh well that's the life of a grower I guess. Oh yea, I'm using GH lucas formula and been having great results (very easy). Gonna change up my start up procedure to avoid this problem again. Thinking of adding a small DIY mother and clone area in my bedroom and maybe go perpectual. Always comin up with something lol.

I just added A/c to my 4x4 tent and it was super easy. I got a new Frigidaire A/C unit for 99 bucks at lowes, ducted it off and ran it right into my tent. So it pulls and pushes air only from the tent. It will cool my tent down to 60 if i wanted it to. That's with a 600 watt light with only air cooled hood. i can post pics if you want to see. JR

i would really like to see this setup. Im very fascinated with cooling becuase i live in the southhhh ... my a/c situation isnt too bad ... it keeps it down but in all honesty im being held back by budget : ( . lol. i need a better one. waiting for your update and pics : )

I've benn thinking of doing that. I've got an extra a/c window unit(small one from walmart 120 dollar I think) I run my 6in light ducting and 4in tent duct out of a window next to the tent and disguised it outside so no one gets curious. I don't have neibors and I live in the country I'm just paranoid. Never can be too safe. I'd like to see that a/c set up to get a good idea on how to do that. Thanks JR. Wish I could post pics but I use internet thru my phone I don't have a computer yet. Waiting on a good harvest first.
 
How in the F'ng good world do you duct off of a window style A/C?? they just have a big grill in the front that dispenses cool air. Just curious cause I hear people always saying they duct thier window a/c's thx in advance for xplainin it. I may need to use one...SOON. hahaha and they(100-150) are sooooo cheap compared to portables (400-600)

lol yeah man I feel you bro we are about 2k in so far - we still need about 2k worth of stuff so yeah...We did have to build a wall and door though - that and the lights+seeds was the biggest expense but in the end its going to be very much worth it for a virtual maryjane factory lol

Oh yeah and soil+nutes is going to be our biggest expense from now on...It adds up really quick did not anticipapte a big dirt&shit bill so much lol

I guess. But that's not the way I understood it. It sounded like his window A/C unit has ducting coming straight out of it and into a tent.

I'd be interested to see how this was done. Pictures would be a plus. :)

all the window units I've seen just have a big grill... interested to see how it's done myself someone do tell :shock:
 
I think the big grill is a air return for the coils. the blower normaly is much smaller and on the top side.
 
I have a super stealth cab that I built for $80 in materials see pic. I have about $100 in CFL lighting. $50 in ventilation and fans. $20 in nutes and soil. I get about 6-8 ounces a grow. So if you consider that I can reuse all but $20 of my investment (plus seed cost) I am paying about $10 an ounce.

well mathed bigv, 10 bux a zip aint bad man :) beats the piss outta anything else or matches anything upscaled in size, oh and beats paying 250 bux also ;)
 
Thanks bro!! I was waiting for some negative comments from the bigger growers. I am a live and let live guy but I did my research and felt that my set up was best for my needs. If I could I would do a gazzillion watt grow though so I am not knocking it.
