You're gonna want some clear when you're harvesting, "cloudy" trics have a habit of turning amber after you harvest cos they continue developing. Just cos you chop it down doesn't mean its dead.You cannot judge maturity (peak harvesting period) by the pistils (what you call hairs).
Giving large doses of _any_ nutrient solution / part will not speed up anything. It'll bring you nutrient solution in imbalance and that'll harm your plants.
You want to check the trichomes, get as close to 100% milky trichomes as possible, for peak THC realization.
You should also check for receding pistils and swollen calyxes.
