Hmm..... very interesting. I got Spider Mites once because my partner decided to get a clone from someone and guess what... it had Spider Mites. I didn't notice them until they had infested some plants but I got rid of them with a simple spray. DR. Bonners mint scent soap and Neem Oil. I sprayed every 3 days for 3 months straight. That's right 3 months straight every 3 days without fail. t doesn't hurt the plants at all in fact it cleans them and makes the leaves very shiny and beautiful. Once I was sure I had killed them all I switched to spraying once a week and I continue to spray once a week although sometimes I go longer but I always spray. I spray in flower also until I see bud sites starting to form. I spray the flowering plants with RO water a day after spraying with the neem because nobody wants to smoke neem oil buds
This has been working very well for me and I haven't seen a single bug since I started doing my weekly Neem Oil/soap spray. I check for bugs and bug bites every time I look at my plants and have never seen any since spraying. Spider Mites leave little white dots on the leaves, if you see this check the leaves very carefully especially the under side of the leaves.
