If you start your grow with Fox farm ocean forest soil do you still have to add nutes

Even tho this post is old, im happy that its there lol lots of infos. When i came back from work yesterday i found my plants a little out of shape and got discouraged but reading all these post make me realise i have alot to learn xD

The soil has nutes. It will last for about 3 to 4 weeks. When you get experience move up to live soil. Add amendments and inoculate the soil. Aka cook it. Then you will be able to use zero bottle nutes and reuse your soil over and over.

Haha didnt see this was old as hell.

I know this is old.....but other than seedlings in 1 gallon which is straight FFOF w/perlite and EWC, any time I transplant still using FFOF, I always go ~20% perlite, couple cups of worm castings, and whatever stage I'm at I either add all purpose 444 all purpose or 284 bloom, or a combination of them. I just don't feel it's hot soil, or maybe I like to push it harder than most. Never have to topdress, from 1 gallon to 3 gallon to 7 gallon. Cal mag here n there when I feel like it. PH your water, AIR CIRCULATION. Got a decent light you're good. To me, nothing as important as good air circulation (meaning proper temps, humidity, air flow, fans, etc). What's most important for humans???? Food , water, or AIR??? Same with plants #1 air, #2 water, #3 Food. THEN the light is what pulls all these things together.
