Definitely an either-or choice, according to the bill. Section 62(e) of the
Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Pilot Program Act says, "[a]n Opioid Alternative Pilot Program participant shall not be registered as a medical cannabis cardholder." Subsection(f) further states, "[a]n Opioid Alternative Pilot Program participant shall not be considered a qualifying patient with a debilitating medical condition under this Act." While there's obviously some overlap, the state is definitely treating these as mutually-exclusive, separate programs.
