Voice your opinion! Tell them, thats the only way the owner can make changes.
I was in a San Jose Collective, and had asked if they sold "Auntie Deloris carmel corn" the bud tender recommend some other that I had tried, I said "no thanks, Last time it was stale." The Owner overheard this as he was walking up behind me, he quickly got behind the counter, grabbed a bag, gave it to me and said, "if this one is stale (no charge), let me know, I'll get rid of them," then went on his way.
They proudly serve "Auntie Deloris" products now. LOL
But being New, you should be aware that Edibles can be very potent (well, you know now) the good news is, what you experienced
is the worse thing that can happen when you get too much.
The potency can very between the same manufactured products, so start with small doses till you find what you are comfortable with.
Its one thing to go in and say the shit was stale. Honestly if you are buying from a place that sells stale weed and doesnt check it, then you are a moron for buying from them. But to go in and want a refund because you had a bad high because you were unaware of how strong it was, then you are ridiculous. Everyones tolerance is different. The budtender doesnt no how much it takes for you to get high. Only you do.....So take this advice OP, lesson learned. You dont need as much as you ate last time to get high. If anything you should thank the dispensary for having such potent shit......
