im bored fellow noobs lets discuss growing!

My issues thus far :

1. Lighting - I went with what I had just to see if I could
2. Nutes - I've got a definite deficiency I'm working on correcting

Those are my big 2, I didn't overwater...I failed at LST but that's not a big one to me I can always try again next grow. And next grow I plan on having this http://www.htgsupply.com/Product-HTGSupply-400-watt-High-Pressure-Sodium-Grow-Light.asp as well.

hello all, i wouldnt call myself a noob grower but here are some past mistakes i've made.

using soil that has no perlite
using soil that is not organic
not sterilizing hydroton
using all MH light to flower leafy sativas- worst yeild in history
if you dont want to dick around ditch cfls
and watch your humidity! bud rot is your enemy.

imo, the best way to grow?
outdoor- natural hydro (river or stream) under the sun.
indoor- aero/ hydro, with a mix of hps mh and led.

what went disastrously wrong with your LST? How'd you go about it?

My mess ups are as follows.
1. When I started I had my lights like four feet from my plants. Vegged for four weeks and the plants were still under a foot and streched out like crazy.
2. I waited until week 3 of flowering to start nutes only to realize the soil is pre-nuted, got some nute burn on the first feeding and had to go through flushing such was a lot harder than it sounded.
3. Now I have three plants out of the 7 that were germinated. And they seem to be doing fine but I'm scared about nutes so I'm sure they are being starved.
4. Probably my biggest mistake was not planning on how long they were going to take. When I first started I thought if I read it it must be good advice and I read somewhere to expect 6 weeks of vegging and about four of flowering but now that I'm at four weeks it seems it will be another 8 weeks until they are ready. It's not a big mistake but man I'm sure kicking myself for being so pumped to smoke em. Patience is something I am not in a surplus of lol. I would suggest as before to read up on any questions and don't just take the answer that you want to hear because someone will give it to you and most of the time its wrong.

I didn't have enough holding the stem in place and as they got bigger they popped in places but not others, ended up popping out of the curve so it comes out of the ground, bends over for like 10 inches then grows up for like 5 more with no curving around the pot. After it popped the curve I gave up on it being pretty and just maintained the height control I needed.

My crop is looking great with about a third of them almost twice the size of the others.first grow so we bought the clones from a dispensary at different intervals. Not sure if i want to wait until the others catch up or just flower them all at the same time. so far we have been using fox farms ocean forest and for the first couple weeks just some super thrive and some clonex to get them nice and strong. just started fox farms feeding schedule this week and everything is looking peachy. since we did not start at the beginning we jumped into week 3 i believe, because we want to start flowering around Halloween. been using a T5 fluorescent lite since we got the babys but we just purchased a 1000 watt hps should be here just in time for last week of veg and then flowering. tried to get a couple clones off of the bigger girls but ill have to get back to you guys on that. i think we over water but the girlies haven't told me anything bad yet so i don't know. how much do you guys water in soil, 5 gal buckets? How does everything sound so far for my first grow op?

I'm at the "OMG they're actually DOING IT!!" stage of my grow. So I'm all kinds of eager to share, LOL

Ohhh looks great! I'm at 2 weeks of veg can't wait to transplant mine.
I'm gonna pick up a 3 gallon pot and some FFOF. So how long will the FF soil
Feed my plants? I heard you can wait a good month before feeding is this true?

Hello! Waiting for my first seeds ever. I wanted to grow some time ago, but due to lack of money I couldn't. Now to be really sure that I will grow I ordered seeds. Checking out the info as much as I can and can't wait to start making growbox, planting the seed. I am scared a LOT to fuck up, but I guess it's pretty normal. The biggest issue will be the temperature I guess, its changing a lot in my house from pretty cold to pretty hot, so that will be interesting. Tbh, I have smoked just a few times too and still doing it wrong(non smoker ), but I want to get pleasure of growing and just after that - smoke!
