I'm fucked ...

It is my first grow and I grow them in my closet, for 2 days can't sleep well I am thinking all the time at that god damn hps... Can it start a fire ? I did everything right but my closet is not isolated proper so the light comes out a little ... Did you guys had problems like that with the fire paranoia ...

As long as the wiring is done properly and the bulb is not too close to anything...especially flammable things, you should be okay. You might just get some heat build up that needs to be taken care of.

It's cool man, my roommate freaked out, when I wanted to DIY my ballast, with fire paranoia, so it's not just you. But don't worry, light pours out of my grow room. Just make sure you don't burn your plants, don't cut the wire then plug it in(or while it's plugged in). If you can boil water without starting a fire all over your kitchen, you can grow in a closet.

I had a DIY ballast and I did take it down because of fire paranoia just something about those wire nuts I just couldn't trust.

just recheck the connections and make sure nothing feels too hot...

Install a smoke alarm then you will sleep better at night.
