I think of the sorrow we suffer like waves in the ocean during a storm. Once the storm hits us the waves are big and get bigger they batter the shoreline and it is all we can do to stand and think about it. Then over time the waves begin to decrease in size and severity. But just like water and the shore the wave are always lapping on us. The waves become smaller and more gentle but they are always there and occasionally a big wave comes in to remind us of our loss.
I've lost a few dear ones over the years and it never leaves you completely and it shouldn't. But the best we can do is to live our lives and remember that they loved us and we them. I am so sorry for the loss of your brother. I can only hope that the murderer is put away for a very long time and you can find some peace.
