I'm sad=( stalk split, lower fan leafs turning yellow and dieing.

So i made a thread a while ago telling you people how my main stalk split in two about a half inch down,

All the bottom fan leafs have slowly started to turn yellow and die YAY!!NOT YAY!! i'm so pissed off!! I need to close the wound or its gonna die and i cant do it with twine or anything because of the angle that its at.....

Is there anything i can buy to fill the gap?? I need help, this was my best plant and i've been looking after her for a while now=( I don't want her to die, please help me!!

btw this happened like over a week ago, maybe 11 or 12 days ago, and the plant has not died, all the fan leafs are just slowly turning yellow and dieing, I reeeeeeeealy need your help, what do i do?

could you use florists tape? you know the green tape they use in flower arangements?

Put cloning gel/root starter on the break. Works wonders for a wound. Though, I've only used it when the break was fresh, not sure if it will penetrate a week old cut..

I dont even know what that is and i'm pretty sure I don't have any but I will try to pick some up.

I Don't have any but i reckon thats my only option, I Think i'm gonna head down to the hydro shop and pick some up soon before my plant dies=(,

Will cloning gel save my plant?=(

If you tape the split together you might have a chance, but its been a week.

Maybe try feeding it some supertrhive too?

I don't have superthrive=(, I don't have cloning gel!!, I got nothing except nutes and water....

should i go pick up some cloning gel and use the side branches as clones.

Ps..It wont tape back together, its a half inch split at the top of the stem and no matter how much i tighten it, it wont go back together.

Next time, duct tape right away. Works great.

There wont be a next time=( my parents agreed on letting me grow this one time, thats why its so important, this is my only shot, wtf am i meant to do=(

If it looks like the entire plant is going to die you can take everything above the break and treat it like a clone, but this is going to set you back some time while the plant rebuilds it root system. Or just clone out the entire plant. (You'll need root gel for better odds of survival.)

But really man, marijuana is a very tenacious plant, if you keep the break together, and don't stress it any further it will probably bounce back.

This is an intentional stress break that has healed nicely (from the grow FAQ).


Is it worse than that?

If you wanted to argue semantics with your parents, clones are technically the same plant lol..

I have two growing tops, Each side has about 10-15 side branches, They are perfectly intact and still healthy, If it gets any worse, I'm going to use the two tops as clones, although they are already in their flowering stage, but they are only a couple days in and have'nt showed and signs of flowering just yet.....

And it doesn't look worse that that... but its in the main stem

If you can imagine a Y shape, Its split right down the middle of the Y, about a half inch down, i don't know how such a small split can cause this much damage......

And lol!! Yeah i will try to argue that point with them,

I do have 2 other plants......but they haven't shown sex yet, and this was my best plant=(All i can get around these parts is soap bar, and i hate smoking soap bar=(...

What makes me think it still has a chance, Is that its taken so long for this to happen and all the tips are still growing and healthy, I duct taped it the best i can and the wound is a bit closer together than it was, I guess only time will tell, If the yellowing starts moving onto the side branches, I'm gonna chop each side and use them as clones and hopefully they will survive,They will have to be the biggest clones on the history of the earth.

I didn't realize you were that far along, bottom fan leaves going necrotic as the plant grows taller and enters it's flowering period is pretty common. Are the dying leaves above or below the break? (pictures would be great) If they're below the break it probably doesn't have anything to do with it as there would be no disruption of water/nutrients.

They are over the break=(, Its only been vegging a month and the plant is only 4 days is 12/12
