I'm Spending All My Money

This combo here would be a good start for you...

Pull air from both tents via a Y and blow it through the filter.
Blow it through the filter back into the basement? Would that be enough to pull from both rooms? I figure for $282 it would be enough, but you never know.

On a budget? I'd be leaving the inlet passive, just suck air from all directions, and use a T5 but again tight money yeah!!! use the T8, the 4-6 tube rack(diy) is best
The passive inlet would be from my damp and extremely dusty basement.. I watch millions of particles pass over my lady now thats sitting in the open. What kind of fan would I get so I could use an air filter and a "Y" and blow filtered basement air into both rooms? Also, I found this T5HO on amazon.. thoughts for price/quality? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015TL6V48

Don't get those bullshit duct booster fans. Don't do it.
I run 4 6" 240cfm inline "booster" fans, 2 consecutively in each duct with 2 600 watt hps light in a 60x60x80 and they work amazingly. $24/fan on Amazon. I was going to purchase $100+ fans not "booster" fans, obviously not necessary

The booster fans can't maintain pressure, or work against a load. Mine burnt out after a year, the motor froze and nearly caught fire.

Be careful.

Also, how much did 4 booster fans cost you? $100?

I've been running for 11 months solid. It maintains 70-80 degrees, depending on time of year and ambient temp of the room. The fans are not the cause of my high temps when they occur, my wife setting the thermostat on the ac too high before going to work is. I live in a tropical state, not Hawaii. I agree that they cannot work against a load, i don't run a carbon filter. If i did the booster fans probably wouldn't work. Right now I've got 1 MH and 1 HPS, and it has been running a lot cooler than 2 HPS something to the tune of 70-75. I don't expect them to last forever but if you are on a budget, well i was at one point, i have kids and am middle class, they can work. That's all i was saying.

This is why I have put this off a month.. unsure on which products to order and trying to figure out if I even have enough money on hand.

You won't have enough on hand to start. There's always something missing until after at least your second grow. You may think you've compiled a complete list, something will come up.

Can't figure out what to get. Half tempted to order a HTG Supply 4 Foot 2 Lamp High Output T5 Fixture with 2 Pure PAR Veg Bulbs for $66.27 (including delivery).. figure I could always get another in a month. Which leaves me roughly $290 for ventiliation, lol.

Would that even work for me? The filtered CFM of the fan is 156 and each of my rooms are 104 cubic feet, which means I would need a fan with a filtered rating of at least 208, correct?

I really can't order anything until I get my ventilation figured out, right, or am I just over-thinking this? I don't really have money to waste so choosing the correct product(s) the first time is necessary.

I see you need expert advice on calculating your exhaust needs, I did this for a living (check my profile).

In a 4'x4'x6' room you have 96 cf add 10-20% for unknown variables you're looking at 106-116 cf (round off 9.6 to the next highest cfm=10). You were in ballpark on that, give yourself a great big round of applause. Let's stick with the higher rated cfm 116x2 rooms = 232cfm.

To completely exchange the air in a space we often calculate for 100% air exchange at 3 minutes we call it passive exchange which will translate to 232 devided by 3 = 77.333. You make the call.

The one thing you will notice with a higher cfm fan is that the negative pressure will increase. Whats that you ask? Negative pressure is experienced by most folks on a daily basis, ever try opening a door to a building that swings towards you but you a have a hard time doing so, thats negative pressure.

Try to choose a happy medium for your grow.

I don't mind helping you, you passed on to me a great idea about ballasts which was wire them in remotely, cuuting down the heat load in my grow room, Thanks!!

Happy growing!
