The gsc is a hit or miss strain as I can tell. I live in California where it is originally from, but you can hardly get the real deal. Not to say you do not have a true cutting of it. How many years have you been growing?

Here are a some photos of the OG I am growing. I used nothing but compost teas. In the beginning I used mychorhizae and got the soil really nice. DSC01103.JPG DSC01105.JPG

Your plants look beast. Good job. I would like to grow in the ground but if they were that size in my yard they would attract attention. I'm not worried about the cops as much as I'm worried about rippers. The GSC cut I got is from a dispensary. Which when I bought it the label on the tray said "Bay Area Girl Scout cookies". Tell you the truth I doubt it. They probably came from BC seeds or some other seed bank. Either way the strain is pretty good, I sampled some of the bud before I bought the clone. I just think I'll grow it better than them. I am from Northern California born and raised and I have most my friends and family there so I hear about all the designer strains before the buzz gets to colorado. What I really want is a cut of "sherbet" or "Paris OG"

I have been growing personally for about 5 or 6 years and my dad for about 40 years. He helps me a little bit but he is pretty old school. Nothing wrong with that but I am trying to keep up with the times. This year we had a lot of hail in the spring and summer which kept me from getting plants out as early as I usually do hence the size. In the pots I grow in I usually finish at 2 or 3 times the size they are now. For instance I got a grape ape clone they basically went straight into flower so it's only about a foot tall but it has only a couple weeks left. Oh well I'll get a little bit. The reason I grow is because my chick is a weed fiend. We were spending about 600 a month or more on just weed! It's legal to grow here plus I have my medical card so I said it would be stupid for me to not grow. Save some money. Buy a Benz.

My girl does not smoke so that is a good thing for me because I am a weed fiend. I live an hour east of the bay area. Yeah with clones you never know what you are going to get. I will continue to watch your grow.

I wish the grape ape would have had more time to veg. Next time I grow this strain I would like to start it indoor in January maybe even December so that it's a few feet tall by the time I put it outside in April or May. The smell is different from anything I have grown I the past. It doesn't have that fruity smell I would expect. It smells like cracked black pepper and sea salt. I am anxious to see what the nose is when dried and cured. Could bring out more fruity notes. This plant is very easy to grow and I have had no problems at all. She took well to nutrients and guano well. Would recommend this strain for beginner growers because of the ease and low maintenance. Also takes well to nutrients. I should have a week or two left for this plant. Will update.

Great job. Looks great. Is it getting cold at night?
I would say it gets down into the low 60s high 50s. I expect my cookie plant to pick up a purple tinge as well but we'll see. If you get a chance to grow GA I would recommend it. Very simple grow. Low maintenance.

The one good thing about not growing it so big is you do not have to trim much. I am jealous. Please let me know when it is done and let me know how it tastes and smokes. Have a great Monday.

Me too, but think I'm just going to throw a sheet over them. You think the neighbors will notice. lol

When we got that cold spell last week every single person I talked to covered their plants. Did I? No I did not. I grow mainly indica though. As I have said before I have come out in the morning with snow on my plants in late Oct. I just shake them off and move them to the garage. I am not worried about frost bite as much as I am worried about mold. I have never gotten it knock on wood but that is a big concern for me.

Frost, glad I covered em!
Didn't cover mine. Never do. I kept checking on them though. I would be lying if I wasn't slightly nervous but I was confident they would be fine. They were. I think they liked it. At least I did, they were real smelly when it got cold.

So, I don't know if it's the Botanicare Sweet Raw, or the Guano tea, or the Molasses. My plants smell better than they ever have. All of them and they are all different strains. They all smell like fruity candy. Like, very very much. I am very satisfied. Since I don't know which product, or a combination of products so I will continue to use all three in the future. I am slowing down my dry this year more than I have in the previous years and doing a slightly different cure as I am hoping to keep more of that raw uncut smell we all hope for.
