importance of nutes?

For my first grow I didn't use any nutes at all and the whole thing failed miserably. I got about 4 ounces of the worst, fluffiest, weakest bud ever. This grow I have gone to a nutrient regiment and the difference is amazing. Do all growers use nutes every time they water? What are your nute regiments?

every second or third watering. thats why i have an ec pen. when i see the ec of my run off drop then i know they have been using it and can increase the dose or whatever it needs. what nutes do you have and do you have a ph tester

I have "cutting edge solutions" micro, grow, and bloom... Then I have a root accelerator and kool bloom bud amplifier. I use the three part CES as recomended on the bottle, but every other watering. I have a ph meter that I was using my first grow (one of the plants was hydroponics). I haven't been using it for these soil ladies, what should the ph of the run off be? The ppm? What should the ph and ppm of my feeding water be?

ok i`ve never used that brand but it dosn`t matter what brand for the ppm and ph. have you looked at thier site for thier feeding schedule?
for my nute mix i like to be around 6.7 and the soil should try to keep nutral 7. the ppm of nute mix depends on stage of life, veg, pre flowering, full flower and so on. the ppm of the run off should be lower than when it went in and over the days of watering it should lower, pay attention to how fast it drops if it drops more often then you can probably increase mix. start at 1/4 of mix on bottle and as required increase.
i use botanicares pure blend pro series. completely organic and highly recomended. organics are easier to use, it`s harder to burn and fuck things up. and you realy dont need to flush ( only true organics)
how old are they and what soil? what light

They are 23 days old (but i got them as clones). I have them in the transition stage between veg and flower and i am using the nutes at full strength of what it says on the bottle for the transitional stage. They are on 12-12 lighting and have been on that for 6 days.

well if they look healthy then just keep doin what your doin. the ppm i would say for this stage should be around 600 to 800. then when you get into full bloom you could go to about 1100 or 1200 and if they can handle it you could go higher if you had the flowering time to do so and still get a flush.
what do you have for a light and how close is it to the tops. temps and humidity?
do you have a camera for some pic`s?

oh i forgot just make sure they get good and dry between waterings.

If you are at full strength, pay attention to the tips of your leaves. If they start looking burnt or brownish, feed em plain water, and make it a little more than usual to try and rinse some of the nutes out of the soil. then u lower your dosage and try to get it back up to full strength slowly.

be carefull though the more you water the more nutes it drinks up to. i would just flush instead of prolonging the stress on her. your plant will tellya what she wants and how much

I have a HPS 1000W that is about 16" from the tops of my ladies. I am now out of the transitional stage, using Micro and Bloom of my 3-part (Cutting Edge Solutions), Kool Bloom (Bud Builder by General Hydroponics), Myco Madness (root accelerator by Humboldt Nutrients), and Molasses. They seem to be VERY happy, I just want the noobies (like myself) to know that nutrients DO make a huge difference. I grew one time before this time and got fluffy, crappy buds. This is a whole new ball game with nutes!

can be what ever you want it to be. depends on what nutes you want to use.
as long as in veg you have the nitrogen highest then phosphorus then potasium.
in flower phosphorus first then calcium then nitrogen
