Depends if its actually a 600w light like a hps or a silly LED just called 600w.

Its very easy to calculate.

Look at your bill, look at the top where it tells you your charge per kilowatt hour.
Add all your wattage together.
The kilowatt hour charge is what it costs per hour to run 1000w.
So multiply that by 0.6 for 600w and multiply that by the amount of hours its on per day.

The fans don't use much power but you should factor in anything that uses electricity

EG

18p per kilowatt hour

18 x 0.6 =10.8p per hour
X 18
=£1.94.4 per day just for the light.
so an 18 hour lights on 6 hours off

Theres also night time electric, some homes have low cost night time energy, look at your meter box and take a pic if you can or explain to us what you see, if there are 2 meters you could be in luck

Its a ts600. Its 100 actual watts.
With fans and everything else running, you'll probably see a 15 to 20 dollar jump a month. Maybe less. Depends where you live.
Speaking of which, upgrade that light here in a couple weeks if you want to maximize your potential.

2 things:
- Why is this an important question?
- Did you never go to school and learn how to do math? You know how much your light is; you know for how long you will run this light. You know what extra's (fans, exhaust, pump, etc.) you have. And hopefully you do know what the price of electricity is where you live.

It is a forum and people can ask for advice and most people are willing to help.
But asking for things that you can easily answer yourselves, is not helping the forum.

What you are saying about learning the basics and figuring stuff out for yourself is true.. But its also a reality that most ppl have probably never thought about how much each thing they plug into the wall affects their electric bill. I think there's also a lot more to the question than just figuring out how many watts their light uses.

The OP needs to consider what climate they live in, and if they will need to run AC/humidifer/dehumidifier and what kind of intake/exhaust fans they need in order to get their environment dialed in. That stuff could easily wind up costing more than the light itself.

One of the things that I love about herb, is that if your really love growing it you will learn all kinds of things you normally wouldn't think about. In the last few years I have learned about soil microbiology, LED tech, electricity and wiring, tapping threads, VPD, making supersoil and probably a lot more stuff I cant think off at the moment. You could make the argument that the whole regenerative farming movement is spearheaded by cannabis farmers who got super into living soil and permaculture and have the funds to subsidize those methods that regular farmers don't.

We all started somewhere. Each one teach one! Bless

Of course everyone has to learn things.
But that does not mean that there are not questions that make no sense at all.

If you want to know how long it will take you to drive from A to B, you can do the math yourself (will you be on a bike or in a car?) or use Google Maps.
You don't go on a forum for this.

Huh, always thought there'd be more maths involved than that lol. Thanks bud. Gonna work mine out when I get home.

If you don’t like the math buy a kill-a-watt to monitor your electricity usage. With that device you can input the killawatt rate and it will calculate cost automatically
