Do buds only grow on the main stem or other places too? And if they grow other places can they be big nugs or will they always be little popcorn buds?

Its important because he obviously wants to chop off all the popcorn and smoke it if it isnt going to get big. ;)

haha probably. but seriously how is this important? what the hell is wrong with kids these days? we shouldnt have taught them for all those years that "there are no stupid questions" because there are, especially if you havent even tried to research on your own

It's important because he doesn't want to waste time growing the parts of the plant that don't have big buds on them.

"big buds" are just larger collections of smaller buds. I don't see the fascination with huge colas. If posing with a soda bottle and a "thumbs up" for a totally awesome pic, whats the point? Youre going to break them into smaller buds to store and even smaller pieces to smoke.

I would rather have a plant full of dense golf ball buds than a towering cola that develops bud rot anyway.

Anyway, the main shoots or the ones that are closest to the light will develop the largest clusters. Training so that many bud sites are exposed to equal light intensity and removing shading fan leaves will give you dense buds all over the plant. You wont get those long "donkey dick" things but you will get a plant full of premium bud.
