I got in so much trouble when I took the truck apart to see how it worked, "if you didn't have it put back together before lunch you'll never get another toy!"

As a result I made a decent living turning wrenches. lol

No! That happened when I got my first school chemistry text. I'd sit in the back of history class, reading the wrong book from cover to cover, lol. cn

honestly it did inspire me to want a chmeistry set.. I remember walking into one toy store and they had this entire line up of individual chemicals (always ran out of things) but I was too lazy to read all the directions to mix crap so I "invented" stuff... pretty sure I made something new... :)
