well,,,all ventilation problems are solved,,fan on light and plants,,air in the bottom,,air out through fan in closet,,then helped out the window by another fan

the fan doesn't suck air through the back where youve installed the tubing. that part is for venting the fans motor. the way you have the fan set up by the window is only making the fan overheat.

actually,,there are grills front and back of the fan,,,it's going right through,,as for heating the fan,,if it blows,,I'll have a reason to buy a better one

Glad to see you figured it out.

I got my extractor fan a couple days ago and now I'm debating whether to use it. Temps in my growbox are a comfortable high 70s-low 80s. The catch is I leave my growbox door open, which makes it less stealthy and easier to find. To install, I'd have to punch a hole in my ceiling, install a duct damper (so no hot air backflows into the growbox from my attic) and major duct work. Ahhhh.....decisions decisions...
