The bible actually concludes it's XY, though I still think it's much less clear than many of you are painting it to be and the author makes that come through as well.
I mean you're sitting in an internet forum shooting the shit with randos. The Cannabis Grow Bible is pretty well respected and based on more than goes on in here. Its in a book......must be true

I actually disagree with him in many instances so you're trying to cast this as a blind appeal to authority is a bit silly. I think his dislike of feminized seeds is a bit dated, for example. I've never had issues with them and neither has anyone I know.
'Optimal grow conditions could end up with a higher ratio of females to males'....makes sense in my high ratio of fems
My anecdotal evidence shows a Vodkamoon to raise chances of having two girls. That makes sense. The pH of a woman's body can help decide the sex kind of. Something like a lower pH will be more favorable to male sperm than female sperm. So you have a better chance to have a boy if her pH is lower.
Some history for ya. The term Honeymoon came from old times. It was called that because the wife would drink honey mead for a moon cycle after the ceremony, which is almost a month. This supposedly helped their chance to have a boy, and I think there's been study's since then, but don't have any links.
Of course plants are different though and don't have sperm, lol.
It also makes sense that my whole group of outdoor seedlings that got hailed on in a freak June storm all turned out male.'Optimal grow conditions could end up with a higher ratio of females to males'....makes sense in my high ratio of fems
It`d make more sense if they all just diedIt also makes sense that my whole group of outdoor seedlings that got hailed on in a freak June storm all turned out male.
But would it, really? It`d make more sense if they all just died
So you want me to re think that? But would it, really?
I think you need to take a break from thinking. So you want me to re think that?
And?I can possssibly see how stress factors in the plant producing seeds could influence sex of offspring. However I don't think that conditions of seedlings will affect them turning out one way vs the other. We have DNA sex testing to prove otherwise now. I think this is important to point out the distinction, bc I have seen a lot of broscience claiming the opposite.
I also think that these ratios do not always carry thru to a pack of seeds bc sample sizes are too small.
Say I have 100 seeds, and 50 are female. Now I take 10 seeds into each pile,, and make 10 packs. The odds that I put exactly 5 female and 5 male into each pack is not guaranteed. I could easily wind up with one pack that is all female, and one that is all male. or any combination.
Do environmental factors dictate whether humans will be male or female ?I guess assuming that it's simply random chance that decides the outcome and there are no external factors that this is true. I'm not convinced that this is the case, though.
sorry if I wasn't clear in my reasoning. And?
Looking forward to a future study.sorry if I wasn't clear in my reasoning.
I dont think there is definitive answer either way on whether environment of parent affects sex of offspring, but I personally think this could be possible..
I don't think there is evidence that environment of offspring determines sex, which is one that I have heard a lot of ppl make.
Did you find the bean in a slurricane bag? Like it’s bagseed? I’ve never found a male plant in bagseedFollowing because I just popped my first non-fem seed (from a bag of Slurricane) and am curious
Thank you for proving my point with your own "bible".The bible actually concludes it's XY, though I still think it's much less clear than many of you are painting it to be and the author makes that come through as well.
