i never understood how OPs that big how the owners or runners never invest in solar panels or shit like that.....

you spend all the money to build a house, deck it out, stealth it out, but yet you still electricity? i just dont get it.

i mean how does that not strike a lightbulb in their head. its like they have all the great ideas when it comes to hiding the op and running the op but when it comes to power & electricity they just turn into a fucking retard and be dumbed down (i.e. the tennessee pot cave)

You'd need a massive amount of solar panels to run any sizeable grow, the investment would be huge & look like an energy feild.

Running a propane fired generator & buying propane from several different sources year round is the best method, this way the home is on the grid & the barn is totally off the grid, propane delievery men dont come snooping around either, they only come when you call them,it's easy to control the circumstances.

GK - very cool that they let you take those photos and thanks for posting them for us.

Interesting tip about trimming the fan leaves. Can you think of anything else you learned that we would find as helpful.

I also have a question about drying.

I thought it was best to hang plants upside down when drying - from the pictures I see they are using screens.

Any thoughts on that?

Hi Panda... These big grows are not being done in somebodies "HOUSE".. although it is residential area.... IN big city settings, the residential and business areas are all mixed up and on top of each other.

A small, tiny warehouse can have 20 - 40, 600watt HID lights without drawing any attention

In San Fran, you can have the chief of police living next door and still run a huge op like this... without much concern

Hi J,

I would not cut the fan leaves MYSELF... I would need proof that it is not negatively effecting the yield.. Although these yields are nice.. maybe they would have been better? maybe ? :?

A lot of big grows dry on screens... They do this because, they trim when the PLANTS are wet.. and then there is no way to hang them (all the branches are cut off)....I don't have a preference... whatever is easiest...

I am going back to see more garden.. I will continue to bring juicy details.

This garden was really simple and smart...... It did HAVE c02

cheers

GK - thanks again. You are the true insider.

Just wondering what you think the initial $$ investment was for this setup?

And - 3 rooms - veg, flower & drying I am guessing?

hey J

It is actually 2 flowering room.. more or less... they veg for 3 weeks and then they are switched to flower...

They are/were brought in as clones (rooted of course).. then begged for 21 days and then flowered...

The lights are old as GOD...those lights have been confiscated by LEO and had the cords chopped up with axes and then returned to the owner after the charges were dropped... TWICE! lol.... it is some crazy shit...I should actually get the ENTIRE story on tape and put it into the next video..

I do know the overhead to run that place is 15,000 a month.... DANG!

Actual set up cost.... not sure... I could give you a rough estimate... I will acttualy ask the man himself...

Probably won't be until i return from India. Remind me when I return :)

I will let you sleep with my daughter if you can arrange a "field trip" for us, LOL. This has to be one of the most spectacular grows since the Tennessee cave op. I'm glad he doesn't steal power; that is dumb for sure! Sounds like quite a back story here with the confiscated lights and all. I can't wait to hear more and see more pix. Very cool GK!!

Damn Knowm that must have been fun. I like the vent system he rigged with the pvc under the plants. very clean and effective. I plan on setting something up like this soon. maybe not the scale but similar. I trimmed almost half my fan leaves at week 4 in my scrog and it turned out great. it really really really opened up alot of the screen so budsites that were covered up got light and became better colas.

Do you think it would be better to go soil or hydro for this size op?

How was India bro? pretty gnarl?
