Yup buddy, I saw the hydro shop, but didn't venture there as I was already loaded with 1 kg of perlite and neem oil... had no carrying space left.
Yup they do have neem oil and I did ask them if they have anything besides bone meal... the idiots just shrugged their shoulders like I dunno man... no bone meal
and I got 2 more empty pots with me so gonna mix perlite and plant new seeds there. 20131123_122617.jpg

Dude, now when I go to Ratanshi's I stock the fuck up lol! Last time I bought 75KG coco, 2kg perlite, 1 Manure, 2 Biogro, 2 Rali meal, 1 soil.. Shit was heavy as hell XD but I'd rather do that than having to spend another rs 200 cab fare for something small.
Why don't you also transplant ur plants into bigger pots, so they can get bigger? Not enough space?

Yup... not enough space and not enough bigger pots as of now.... also I'm trying not to arouse any suspicion of my sudden interest in botany.
But more importantly I would prefer to master... or rather get a hang on flowering and budding first... cuz so far I have managed to grow around 10 plants and only 1 of them made it to budding.
So far I have improvised by learning from previous mistakes... but now its high time I get the knack of budding it.

I fell ya bro, but looks like you can cover the side of the grill that's visable to neighbors, no? You know, none of my plants are in pots this time.. I managed to get grow bags from that Hydro store next to Rabntanshi's. Came out cheaper and they stock like 4-5 diff sizes. Thing is, you can't move em around much(unless/until soil's more hardened) cause you don't wanna risk damaging the roots.
I have a feeling you'll get it right this time. Personally, I think it'd be better to just grow em in bigger pots because even if you fail.. it's no like you can't re use the soil, right? If you succeed, then cool.. you'll have more buds! Better too for the roots IMO cause they veg for so long.. You can LST and top to keep em short, but bushy.

Got my first buds of the winter season. Was expecting them for a while since a chill atmosphere has set the city and days have become shorter.
The plant has naturally budded. Did not need to provide any 12/12 as it was a natural outdoor sunlight grow.
Only question is that are these male or female buds? I'd reckon they're male cuz I don't see any pistols, mostly grape like formations... cuz if they are male I guess I'd have to hack it asap.

20131206_184620.jpg Gave it the chop!... bad luck in getting the male. On the bright side got rid of a mite infested plant. Got 2 more plants expected to flower... hoping for some good news there.

and WOW! 6ft5in that's tall man! just imagining that gave me goosebumps...awesome!

Actually, it's around 6'9! including the pot(1ft)tho :P
Hey man how much did you get the neem oil for? These fucking mites are back smh.. It's getting difficult to control and looking all too familiar as my last harvest which got infested. I really HATE these fuckers!

Damn.. those mites are a real pain. Prevention is better than cure applies to mites cuz they infest your other plants also quickly.
I got the neem oil for Rs.165/- at Ratanshi's, I also got another pesticide called SUPERKILLER 25 for around 80 bucks but that's for nuking the fucking mites.
I was not aggressive in using them cuz I didn't want to end up causing harm to the plant so I'm using around every 3rd day to spray down the plant.
The mites aren't completely gone but its somewhat under control.
I would suggest you do a check around your grow space too and get a mini pest control done so there are no surrounding spiders or mites creeping around who would settle on your plant.
Much better that way for future grows as it keeps the ants also at bay.
Curing mites is an effort in itself cuz even if mites die... there are always unhatched eggs after each spray. Also you gotta make sure that you spray the underside of each and every effin leaf. I'm still bearing with my plant as of now but next time I grow I have to make sure that the grow area is completely insect and pest proof cuz it really hampers the natural way of growing.
Plus looking at your plant suffer is another headache specially in the hot climate where we grow, the heat helps the mites to breed and survive so make the most of whatever cold there is this winter (their movements somehow restrict in winters) and act upon it.

Thanks and I know man.. I try hard to keep the area clean and minimal as possible. All I have in the grow space is the plant and a spray bottle! I full on spray under n over leaves and soil everyday w/a homemade solution(ice cold water, chilly, garlic, lemon, dish soap) and hit the walls n ground with dish/detol soap water every few days. I was slacking few weeks ago tho(every 2-3 days) when I noticed there where no mites for an extended period. Now, sumhow.. they just appear out of fucking no where and its getting difficult to control. Same shit everytime man.. its like theyre just meant to be here at this time and fuck the plants in the same exact way smh... They really suck the plants dry and it's frustrating/devastating considering all the time, money, effort that goes into growing and the fact that we can't get good buds in the city....

I guess all the dust that piles up and big ass trees, etc around me naturally brings mites. Also, I have plants about 20ft away where mites are proly breeding and it isnt cleaned often..

I'm gonna clean out the whole place, find a solution to coat my balcony grill, walls with and also get a hose to spray the fuck outta everything frequently. Neem oil, carbonated water should also help and I'll look up more recipes/methods to try keep em at bay. I'm proly also gonna do hydro so soil breeding wont be an issue and I'll build a humidity dome. How much and where you get the SK 25? I got several 25, 50 and 75 strength pesticides from Ratanshi before. I'll proly start using em sparingly again.

All pesticides from Ratanshi's... SK25 , Neem oil..etc.
Recently I also bought 'Growtabbs' sort of plant growth tablets also from Ratanshi's. You basically stick a single tablet in the soil and let it be... as you water it provides nutrients and boosts growth from the roots since I'm spraying on so many pesticides and not giving any nutrients besides tap water I thought I'd do this

I had those b4, but I somehow lost em lol. Just cleaned and reorganised my whole balcony. I wanna start this hydro pretty soon.. gonna go all out this next week and try buy all the equipment. So far, having some trouble finding shops(Lohar Chawl) to help me build a light fixture. I've found pretty much everything else.
I would have posted a pic of my plant, but no sd slot on my pc -__- Gonna have to do it at friends place.

Even I've hit sort of a roadblock. Got 2 pots empty for new seeds and have tried to plant almost 20 odd seeds and NONE of them have sprouted up! Gonna have to go hunting for new seeds now in the new year. Got new compressed coco soil so I can finally throw off the ant infested soil in one pot now.

Shitty deals, bro.. I've had some shit luck with seeds from weed in this city too. From my experience past cpl yrs, I'm not gonna waste time on bag seed from around here, again. I'd suggest you look into some foreign genetics or stronger Indian ones from the North or South as well. With most these landrace Indian's, you'll be waiting forever for a harvest, tho... Time to get some buds more frequently, that's worth it. Gonna have to drop some $$ but will be worth it if all goes well.
My girl is 7ft and like 4ft wide, now. I'll try get a pic up in the next few days.

The way you say it... I keep imagining a huge ass christmas tree :p
I actually don't mind putting some $$ but I don't have a Credit Card with me to make international purchases :(
besides... I'm trying to set up an indoor grow space at home... get some pc exhaust fans and CFL's in a small space where my old CPU used to be
will try to expand it a bit for 2-3 plants... that will give an environment which I can set and also won't have to worry about mites!!
Some good news and bad news... my plant is finally budding!! I can see some pistils now... 2nd week into flowering but its got the mites GODDAMMNNNIT!!
so i have a race against time to make her survive and bloom before the mites get to her

lol we were actually planning on putting some ornaments and gifts under it for a night XD. You should open a Paypal account and link it to your bank account. Also, banks like Bank Of Baroda have their own online banking system.
Yea man, indoor you'll def have a more controlled environment. Ima veg inside, flower out, but looking to do some flowering inside as well at some point.

I jes used some of that real pesticide and I gotta say.. it's seemingly done a much better job at keeping the mites away than the fucking natural methods I been using. I might do 2:1 Habanerros to chem insecticides, when she starts budding harder. Aside from a hose, Ima get a larger fumigator type sprayer(rs 500-1000) to spray the whole area every few days. Still looking for the ideal substance to coat my grill with my big soft broom. I think I should pretty much have those assholes under control after I buy a cpl more items and so a lil more research. Hydro and mite control at the top of my list right now.

For the mites I'm spraying down with neem oil and SK25... keep alternating between the two so I don't end up harming the plant due
to excessive use of SK25. I leave a 2 day interval between sprays letting the plant continue its natural course.
so its like Monday-Tuesday-NEEM OIL SPRAY(Wed)-Thursday-Friday-SK25 SPRAY(Sat)-Sunday-Monday-NEEM OIL(Tue)-Wednesday.. and so on.
Its not very aggressive but has restricted them considerably. The only way I see personally to get permanent rid is to get the huge fumigator/sprayer which farmers use
I saw one at Ratanshi's but that would be a heavy buy also storage for that will be an issue. I would say prevention better than cure because so far I haven't got
permanent rid of them... I keep seeing them now and then so the only solution is to keep at it till the harvest.

Another one of my concerns is that you will eventually have to cut back on pesticides as the plant starts budding more and more cuz you wouldn't want to smoke pesticide riddled buds
so I guess you have to take a final call on one day which would be when you will go all guns blazin' on those mites and then keep calm and let her bud naturally without any chemicals in them buds
and I guess go back to water or chilly garlic spray

Sweet glad I found this thread. Im in india till may and have just started germinating some bagseed. I know I might have to harvest a little early but I am really just growing these things outdoors on my balcony for fun.
