3 weeks along now. Are these sex organs im seeing or just the making of new stems?

also, my little thermometer says it is 77 degrees in there. Is that warm enough? My ph meter says it is a 7 almost on the alkaline level. Is that right? I havent added nutes, and I am working on finding some little fans for ventilation, anyone got any ideas? I tried computer fans but they are dc powered and I need something that can plug into the wall ofcourse.

that light is a little close but it doesnt seem to be burning it yet id get a dome for that bulb, ur water is fine it shouldnt need nutes till the plant really starts to grow, the growth you see is just new growth you wont see sex organs till u stick her in 12/12, but judging by the look of ur stem you'll need a fan somewhere in there(just as long as your air is moving should be fine) good luck brotha

what kind of dome? All the domes at the hardware store are for work lights. They are made of aluminum but look like chrom. I was thinking of putting mylar all over the inside of the box. There are six of the 6500k cfl's in there so I think there is plenty of light. Is having no air circulation whats causing the weak stem?

home depots got domes for pretty cheap, with 6 cfl it should be fine for one plant, i wouldn't put mylar in there the white walls are much better ( ive got white walls in my veg room and mylar in my flower, and i must say i like the white better) the weak stem is cause theres no movement in there any fan pointed any direction would help alot,

Yes 77deg is perfect just try to keep it between atleast 70-85. if it gets any hotter it will burn them up for sure and crisp your miss...Marijuana thrives in neutral to slightly acidic mediums. Soil and soilless mixes should aim for pH of 6. Hydro growers should go slightly lower which helps prevent pythium and other root rots-- 5.5 to 5.7 is ideal. :joint::peace::peace:

thanks man. Im on a budget for this, I know I could use ph down from the grow shop, but its pricy, is there another way to lower the ph?

lemon juice. acidic, lowers ph.

edit: just dont get crazy with it, a few drops should work fine.

thanks man, i water every 3 days, only one cup right now. Should i add lemon juice to the water, a 1/2 a teaspoon maybe? Should i water more when running 6 lights?

overwater is a common mistake novice growers make. as for lemon juice dilute a couple teaspoon per liter of water and only add a few tbspn to your watering mix. water when soil is on the more dry side of dry.

also, can anyone tell me how to do some cheap airflow... i dunno how to convert all the colored wires coming off the computer fans ive seen to an ordinary plug like ive done with my lights. someone above said it was the reason for my weak stem. So i need to do it quick..

Vineager to lower pH. Baking Soda to raise pH but not a lot of either. What has a pH of 7 your soil or your water? I read GK's book yesterday and he said optimum soil ph is 5.9 or 6.0 but 6.2 and 6.3 is ideal. You need to find the pH of your soil and your water and try to balance it out.

Get one of those dual socket things for 2 bucks at walmart and add one more light and i bet in two days your stem won't be so weak. Don't worry about computer fans get a small house fan as long as there is some airflow it will help your plant out. I don't think those are sex organs just new growth. Just add at least another light and see what happens with your stem problem.

TBar you could actually add a little more soil around the base of your plant it'll give some support to the stem but it looks fine i wouldn't worry to much.

will do, ive seen alot of people using the elbow sockets plugged into surge protectors. Wish i would have seen that before.. oh well. Ill get more light in there asap.

yea it will hold itself up but barely. I put the string on to keep it growing up strait not at an angle across the box toward the other light.

Why dont you make your own dome?? i did :) and i think it works better than the dome i bought from HD... i returned that POS dome..

i used automotive windshield cover/sun reflector. it works awsome and it has some insulation so you can keep good stable temps(with circulation that is )|
costs 9 bucks at HD

you lower the ph a little bit by leaving the water sit out for 24 hrs or more. Letting it sits gets rid of all the chemicals and shit.:joint::peace::peace::peace:
