Not necessary every time but when you do water in the future your going to want 10-20% run off to help with salt build up with nutrients. What color was the water at the end of flushing? When u flush u need to control everything that means having the pH/ ppm dialed in for the plain water going in. By the time your done flushing the water should be clear or near it not yellowish. The ppm/ph of the water should also be close to what your input water was. I recommend a shop vac if u can.
