Indoor Grow Plan - Help/advice needed

yeah, I might consider that for one of my next grow ops... right now that's a little bit out of my price range. I'm gonna have a hard enough time as is, just finding the right bulbs+being able to afford them... lol
 
Yeah that's an understatement.

I suppose I'll probably HAVE to go over the $30 mark, in the end... But like I said before, I need to do this on the cheap. No splurging where I can avoid it.

yeah man i agree,cannabis plants are built too survive without all tht shit.if ur only growing for personal thn just bang the plants in a closet(make sure its clean and light proof),paint the walls white hang the lights on chains and watch thm grow.make sure u look afta thm regularly(watering and clipping etc etc.)good luck
 
Well I managed to get some activated carbon yesterday, a big huge container of it, for absolutely no cost to myself.... Gotta love family :P

So now it looks like all I need are those lightbulbs.... I found a great deal, all 4 of them for only $26 plus S&H. I'll be ordering them as soon as my next check comes in. They're not gonna be here by 4/20, but I think I can make due without them for now... I'll have to keep my seedlings outside during the day, but it'll do.

Tomorrow, I think I'll start getting ready to build my grow box. I'll also be starting my grow journal either tomorrow or the next day, if anyone cares to see my progress.
 
What kind of lights are you getting for $26? That sounds a little steep. Your local hardware store would probably carry them and save you the cost of getting it shipped.
 
I checked my local hardware, and all they carry in stock are 2700k and 4100k, no 65's. They DID turn out to be about $5 per bulb, though... I was surprised about that, I expected them to be about $8 per bulb (Inflation in this town is rediculous, that's why I hadn't checked yet).

So, for now it looks like I'll be making due with 27's, but I asked the manager of the store to order some 65's so they might be here in a couple of days.

for now, everything looks good still... Today I'll be starting construction on my grow box; I'll post pictures as soon as I can.
 
you don't need the 27ks till after your done with the veg you should just get 4 65ks now, mount all 4 of your light sockets then just get 4 27ks when you start 12/12, and just switch out the 65ks for the 27ks


oh and you said somthing earlyer about how long can you veg for b4 you can 12/12 wait a minimum of 4 weeks b4 starting 12/12 it can cause stress to your plants and could cause your plants to male or even hermi
 
and you don't need all that ventilation crap just put that fan in there see that the little sprouts have air blowing on them and they will get fresh air when you go in there to turn the llights on/off ventilation is only needed with larger rooms
 
don't put your plants outside you can put them inside under a house lamp untill you get your room setup and they will grow fine

if you put them outside you could get bugs and thats just a mess so you might not even wanna screw with it


my girlfriends got a few on her dresser just for looks

no its not...not for the size grow your talkin about even tho you bought it you might not wanna put it in there its juts a waste of space for a grow that small
 
Well, I got my closet *mostly* cleaned out... so I officially have about 2' x 3' x 4' (24 cubic ft.) to work with. Thank god I decided to LST... I've only got enough floor space to grow 4 plants, maybe a couple more if they're small (I hope they're not).

When I went to start building my box, I discovered that the rubbermaid tubs I thought I had, seem to have disappeared, so I guess the whole base for my planned setup is out. I'm still trying to figure something out... I might have to use a few cardboard boxes instead. I really only need something light-proof, and something that doesn't scream 'Hi, I'm a grow box for pot plants'.

you should use carboard boxes just cut a few up so you can stack a few together and then tape them you can use that duck tape to hold your marijuana universe together :) cover the inside in mylar and you might just have a decient growbox
