I have a few question about my set up. I have a box that is wraped with mylar whith 2 fluorescent cool white 40 watt tubes. My soil is Schultz potting soil plus with the 9 months of fertlizer. I was told that rain water was the best so thats what I'm using right now. I don't know if I should use ferts or not since my soil already has it. If so what kind and were do I get it. The plants are 2 weeks old and are are about 2 inches tall. I topped then a few days ago when the set after the 5 leave set. I have a buddy that has a 400w HPS light for me to use but I hear that the fluorescent were fine for veg growth. I plan on using the HPS for flowing. My question is what type of ferts to use if any and when to change the soil?
Any comments would be very helpful Thanks:peace:

I use Miricle-Gro liquid fertilizer for young plants. The directions say half cap to a gallon. I use a half cap to 5-gallons of water. Have had good results. My soil is 70 percent natural and 30 percent vermiculite.

i don't think that would be a good idea considering his soil already has nutrients in it.

i think you should read a little more before you waste your time if u have nutes in your soil then you dont want to be adding more

Ok Im using no ferts and swiched to tap water but I let it sit for a day before i use it. I figure that the temp and hum is good and the hum could be lower.. so im doing that. Im going to add 2 worms to each of my 2 plants. I transplanted them to a 5 gallon bucket and they seem to be doing fine. I will update with some pics of the plant and box

imo, worms are useless, they will probly die on you very quickly. next time dont use a soil with nutrients already in it cause u have no idea what concentration it is and exactly what nutes are in it. with a soil that has no nutes from the start u have a baseline to start adding to. plus seedling dont need nutes for about 2-3 weeks.

Also u wanna keep the humidity relatively high during veg. but you want it low during flowering to prevent bud mold and other fungi that thrive in humid conditions.
