Hello everyone, I am new to the forum world of marijuana and thought i could throw in a couple of my tips to other growers out there in need. My main goal for this grow is to take the ideas that seem not to work or produce great results and show people some methods are actually usable. Since I live on a private owned ranch(350 acres) Growing marijuana is alot easier compared to living in a city full of noisy people. I actually have the comfort of throwing a seed on my land and never go a day paranoid so this grow should be fun and very informational. If your wondering just how experienced I am with growing plants, I been farming for about 10 years already and grown about everything you can think of in different ways and combinations. Plants have always been interesting to me my whole life so every year i grow, I record data and apply those results for future crops. I already know people will criticise my method of growing but oh well I made this journal to prove people wrong and discover new ideas(MythBuster).
Ok now that we got the Introduction out of the way now i can explain my grow plan. I decided to start growing now because I want my plants to be in there last veg days whenever the last freeze occurs so i can replant them outdoor for their flowering stage. An outdoor marijuana plant in its flowering stage is so much different from the indoor grow. Its mainly quanity and thats what im looking for to keep me high all year. For this grow I have used the germination method of putting your seeds between wet/damp paper towels. Now when i did this step, I placed the wet towel with seeds in a dark place. After about 24 hours 10-15 seeds show signs of germination. I check in again at 48 hours and only 3 seeds have stayed the same while the others have white tails poking out. Some of you might want to know excatly how long those "tails" got. It ranged between half a inch to as long as my finger !!!! The only time i messed with the paper towel was when i did my 24 hour check ups and that only. I Germinated 50 seeds excatly and got 100% success rate by the third day which is amazing to myself since this is my first time germinating. Now that all my seeds have germinated, I bust out cheap plastic cups i picked up at the grocery store. By the way this is the only item that I have spent money on during this project so far and i intend to keep it that way. Call me crazy but watch and learn.
As i was saying.... the next step is to take the cups to this field i been farming on for about 7 years. The reason im doing this is because I am very familiar with this soil and know its promising because cows have been fertilizing that soil for years. (The soil recently got rained on so i will not water my grow after it gets planted) After that is done I gather up all my seeds and prepare to plant them in their new homes. I punch the seed down no deeper than half an inch for all the cups and i add a drainage hole on all of them aswell(I ONLY PLANTED 25 in cups and the other half around a pond full of water) and put them in a closet type area. I will be providing pictures tomorrow so dont worry lol. Last thing I do is get my 10 inch fan an place it in a position where every plant gets some air. The temp inside the Rv gets anywhere between 65 to 80 degrees so im not to worried about controlling the environment. I do this because i want my plants more used to a random temp schedule like they would be if they were outdoor plants. I could be wrong but i will never know until i try. After the dirty deed has been done. I lock up the Rv and head out to go grab some cow patties from the pasture. I gather about 2 bucket full and store them in a dark room. I plan to use this whenever my plants are ready for the outdoor world.
OKAY so I did all of this 4 days ago and i now have about 13 plants that are at least 1 inch and higher. All very healthy with no signs at all of disease or sickness. So far so good. As for those other 25 seeds in the outdoor, only 6 have came out the dirt. I hope this Post will attract other growers and help them aswell with their own grow. Its time that i finish up this post already so i can go get medicated. Stay tuned for my picture update tomorrow some time early afternoon. Thank you and please if you have a questions message me or just say it on here.
P.S I will provide my watering technique in the next post
