Indoor - Soil or Hydro for highest quality medical grade? help a brother out.

The outdoors gets me so pissed. The damn bugs, worms. I swear to not go out doors anymore. Under a microscope can change your mind. Plus you never get that great - great medicine outdoors. So here is my dilemma. Love the medical dispensary top shelf. Can't achieve it doors(?) : as mentioned in my FEED UP attitude towards to challenges it brings. Where was I? Oh yeah (smoking some Ingrid and MJ23 tonight) - what are the benefits of hydro vs. soil in doors in a nice grow tent with 1000w veg lights progressing to 1000w flower lights. I want that taste of the highest quality JACK FROST and the like...I want that medical grade medicating. I have a lot of experience with mediocre bullshit - i wanna get to the next step of my growing. Help a brother out. Give me some input.

I have grown indoors and use just about every way you can looking for the answer. Well number one is genetics buy the best you can and it is hard to find good seeds. I buy 2 to 3 each year and have yet found any that are as good as what I have. I have paid $40 to $300 big waste so far. Just finished VISC Fucking Incredible $140.00, junk.

Rule 2 KISS = keep it simple stupid

Using chemical ferts is a lot of work, tweeking this adding that, you need to have a science degree, just look at this site and 1000's of questions on it.

I grow in dirt, I water once a week that's all. I grow more than I ever have and it tastes soooo good, no flushing no nothing.

Wow obviously you do keep it stupid simple.... you water once a week? You can't figure out the directions on the back of a bottle? I think your the only one who operates on those terms.

Alright well first off have you ever physically been in the presence of a 1000 watt MH bulb on and in your face? It's REALLY HOT. especially if your going to put it into a tent, which is fine. But your going to need at least a 6 inch inline fan rating at about 450cfm to air cool that thing, as well as a JUMBO sized hood to accommodate the literally football sized bulb. Maybe consider a 600 for a tent that's what i use and its jsut as good if not better, remember the heat generated from that 1000 watt is hot, you need at least a foot and a half - 2 feet worth of space to not burn your plants.

If i were you I would do DWC, Get a 5 gallon bucket, a airpump and a 6 inch airstone, and a 5 inch net pot and that's your hydro system, fill it with hydrotron and just handwater it for the first week, fill the bucket with 4 1/3 gallons and the net pot will be half submegred. Add about a quarter strength of nutes right away if using clones.

I agree with you; a lot of bud around but very little true top shelf. Do you find growing from clone to bring same quality as see? being that genetics makes up 80% of the final result what fertz do you like to help increase medicinal value (potency). The fertz market is flooded with product. The secret is finding what products play into the genetic make up of the plant - also known as playing into its strengths. I know THC is the big "Marketing" campaign for cannabis but I've had 10% THC kick ass while 20% THC so / so. I think we over look the other 60+ natural chemical compounds. Its these compounds that make that good stuff great. That is what I am looking to do. Its a shame a lot of people have never really had high grade medicine like we have here in California via prop 215.


Tonight I got some Grand daddy Purple and MJ13 going. As a night cap I will par take in some INGRID...These small buds will deliver 10x the punch of the over hyped BIG GREEN BUD most of the country perceives as being the SHIT.

my 3 cents

-your room and surrounding arear can never be too clean

-buy some Greencure before you notice signs of powdery mildew

-if you bring clones into your room on a regular basis be prepared for the bugs and disease that will eventually show up with them.

Some bugs and disease thrive in an enclosed, warm, moist and dirty grow room. IE thrips, gnats, PM etc. Their populations can explode rapidly.

I get clones from an indoor reputable source o bugs are non existent... If I bring clones in rock wool I gotta believe I will be pest free.

I would definitely start from clones, all the suckers on here that are buying seeds from oversea's are either not legal or have no way of getting decent cuts.

Starting from clone rules out the possibilty of males and wasting money on nutes and soil for them, as well as space. It also saves you about 2 or 3 weeks since you don't have to bullshit with germ and all that...


AND YES OMG!!! i completley agree with you.... most people outside of medical states are completley retarded when it comes to bud, they think there nasty outdoor mexican sativa brick weed is the shit.... I wouldn't even smoke that trash.

There's a reason that you cant get dollar points at the clinics, Quality. 1 gram of top shelf buds is more potent then an 8th of there shit.

I agree with you. Having spent time on the east coast - they're smoking these 1/4 oz blunts and I roll out a nice 1/2g joint that them oooing and awing.

2 to 3 seeds each year? 1/2 are male so you get 1 female (2 if your luck) and it your spending crazy money. Get clones. $12 top shelf clone is what you need. Easy to grow in good (maybe fox Farm) or Black Giold if you have the extra cash. If you use BlackGold you better be inside. Black Gold is Castings - hence; trouble with bugs etc. Follow the instructions on the bottle. Use a water syringe to get accurate PPM - don't allow the simple directions to intimidate

Your crazy. Unless your growing in a (this is not a paid advertisement) BC Northern BLOOM BOX (cost 3500 or so us dollars) that is pretty much plug, plant and off you go - you need to do a bit more; to get quality smoke. Higher the quality the less you need to smoke. If all you drink is Night Train with a twist of cap you'd be amzed to learn of top shelf Merlot etc.

geez we get it...u live in cali and have a green card. sheesh. anyways...soil for taste, organics for even better cleaner taste, hydro for resin, high resin=high thc. id go hydro/aero. aero works reallllll well. so does dwc tho. soil is easy, but water or fog takes the cake.
